Dear AnD-crew,

I just tested the new feature for uploading photos to my existing albums but this feature did not work. It uploaded the pics but did not add them to the list of photos, so I had to switch back to the old feature...

I'm still missing a feature to get control of the order of the pics in an album because sometimes they get mixed up when I upload many pics at one time but I also have some albums where I add additional pics from time to time and I want to put the newest ones at the top of the album.

The photo uploader should be fixed now -- Please be sure that you have the Macromedia Flash plug-in installed before using the uploader.. In regards to order photos, we plan to add that feature in the future. Thanks and let me know if you still see problems.

Yeah the uploader works now - but the order of the pics gets messed up even more now - no matter if I use the old or the new one . It's no fun to upload photo albums here anymore. I got really pissed off tonight by this (sorry but I have to say that). Just check this album .

Sorry for your trobles. The album uploader has been getting only tiny upgrades as to the original album tools that were inherited. Unfortunately, that inheritance didn't include any provisions for ordering.

I would guess that with the new uploader, if you're uploading all the photos at once, it uploads them in alphabetical order of the original file name....

i'll see if there's an easy way to add ordering....

Yeah it uploads them in this order but the mess got even worse when they got added to the album... and the new uploader is a lot slower than the old one, though it needs less system capacity.

I'd be very grateful, if you can find a solution soon...

I've made some adjustements to the uploader. Give it another try. The ordering in the album should follow the upload order more closely now.


The main problem was that we switched the date stamps of photos to try and reflect the time the photo was taken vs. the time it was uploaded. But then sorting was done on the date stamps resulting in an order different than that of the upload.
