Here's a sticky thread to discuss the latest features we've added to the site.

The new uploader for photo albums (not blogs) has been activated for all browsers again. Let us know if you're continuing to have problems.

The new photo uploader is an incremental upgrade to the old way of adding 6 photos at a time. The new uploader allows you to shift-click, or ctrl-click (apple key on a mac) multiple items at a time. The upload will start immediately, and you can choose to add more files while it uploads.

Added a variation in phototagging to allow you to tag friends in their own photos.  Previously you could tag only yourself in your friends' photos.

Just a reminder too that friends can see each other's first and last names! It seems to come as a surprise to many people that their names are visible in the photo album viewer. This is true ONLY with friends. Fans/Members will only see your username. The first/last name also appears in the profile page to people who are friends.

Overall, please don't arbitrarily add friends because many of the features we're planning to add pre-suppose that you trust the friends you've added.

Phototagging has been modified to allow friends full access to tag friends' photos. Previously, friends could only tag themselves and the owner of a photo if the owner of the photo was their friend.

Don't get too carried away though....If you mouse over the text tag, it will tell you who placed the tag.
