A picture is worth a thousand words.

Just made the switch to high def (1080p). I got a new HD box from my cable company and the pictures look pretty sweet. Now I'm waiting for an HDMI cable I purchased on-line to connect my PS3 in order to get the best reception. They (PC Richards) wanted to sell me an HDMI cable for $80. lol I wasn't born yesterday. They can keep it. I got one off ebay for $20 plus shipping. Not the cheapest but a nice quality one for a decent price. Can't wait for that either.

I'm sure it will. For one it's a 40". The largest tv I ever had was a 32" flat panel. So that right there is a plus. The large screens back in the day looked like crap so I didn't bother purchasing them just for size. On top of that its a high def tv and the picture is crystal. It's pretty awesome. Thanks.

I'm happy because when my older son found out that his little bro was coming from Illinois to hook up my Easy Share Digital picture frame until the weather turned bad, he volunteered to come out and do it.  Now it's all set and I can remotely control it.  He didn't realize that it needed setting up.

He thought I had done it.  What a laugh!

And we went out for a nice buffet lunch.

Hot tub, in a warm hotel room. Mmmmm. I was warm the whole way through, for the first time since September. Absolutely wonderful.

Not much is making me happy just now. I got a loveseat stuck in the doorway of my son's ex-room trying to be a bigshot & drag it to the front room myself. I have to climb over the sofa to get to the computer & every time I do it reminds me what a schmegeggie I am for even trying to move the thing myself. MY cousin is coming to help me get it unstuck tomorrow. Aargh.

Came home from the hot-tub weekend with the flu. I know I didn't get it there, but I woke up with a swollen gland, sore throat, and stuffy head. Followed by extreme fatigue and chills.
Happy? I feel almost 100%, today. Lasted about 4 days. Lots of sleep, orange juice and ginger ale cocktails, annoyed the crap outa the cats. They're all looking at me now, and asking each other, "Doesn't she have someplace to be?"

That my mom is okay.

She hit a patch of ice getting off a ramp on the highway. Then her car hit a light pole, knocking it over, then crashed down a steep embankment near the river.

Merd, a piece of bad luck with the car but good luck with the body.  She's a very lucky woman all around, including having a son who loves her.  Give her a big hug, but maybe not for a few days. She must be pretty sore.

Wow, DL!  I'm glad your mum is okay!!!  However, that pole will never see the light of night again....that's a poor attempt at some enlightening humor.  *sigh*

Two movies I've been waiting to see opened today... In Bruges, and Penelope.

But we got a fair amount of snow overnight, and even though I'm sure the main roads are clear, there's no sense in taking a chance.   So I'm shooting for tomorrow.
