New computer? Congrats. I was totally happy when I got my new one around christmas time. My old one was hell. Only trouble.

So..what makes me happy today?
The fact that I have a day off tomorrow because it's a holiday here, and I can enjoy a longer weekend because I have Friday no College work as well. My parents is on a nice short vacation for some days and I can hang around alone at home meanwhile.

Thx for the well wishes! The bruises around my knees are those cool deep purple kind that turn all sorts of interesting colors as they heal. And as a bonus they don't hurt  when I walk.

I was such a bozo to stand on the bed to pull the glow in the dark stars off the ceiling in The Kid's room. They kept asking if I fell out of bed at the ER & I kept telling them I fell off the bed, a subtle but significant difference of several feet.

Then they kept asking how old I was. I guess they expect people with white hair to fall out of bed instead of swan diving off it haha.

I knocked my head on the hardwood floor too when I fell, but that just made me dizzy(er). Didn't even leave a bump lol.

Careful there, Seeker!  There might be bricks a flyin' and fish a whoppin'!!!  

88 degrees F....sheesh.....it's sweatshirt weather here...AGAIN!  Winter will not loosen its tight grip on us.

As such, me and the hubby are gonna go see Indiana Jones 4 in a little bit!     That's kinda makin' me happy...I wanna see this movie but I don't want to see my early idol, Harrison Ford, all old and wrinkly!

I hear ya, on the cool weather. But it's all about to change. We're going from London to Louisiana, overnight. today, 65F, tomorrow, 86, and Friday and Saturday about 90F. I had to hurry to get the screens in and the storm windows out. I don't want to come home to baked kitties, tomorrow.
'Kay. back to the subject. I was going to make potato salad, but overcooked the potatoes. So I made mashed potatoes, with garlic, chives and sour cream. And they are SO GOOD!!

What's making me happy today?? Nothin!!

My split lip got infected, apparently when I touched it while cleaning the fine construction dust that's all pervasive around here after a floor was put in last week. It's red & swollen, it hurts, and it looks like I'm pouting. In this case appearances are NOT deceptive.

This evening I drove home on the road that runs along the river. The sky was a clear silvery color at the bottom, but dark storm clouds were moving in up top. There's a club in that area that gives sailing lessons. Their boats are distinctive because they all have white hulls & sails, with no colorful markings.

The boat in the pic is bigger, but kinda gives the feel for what the sails looked like. There were at least a dozen of them in close formation out on the river, as they turned back to shore to beat the thunderstorm that blew in a few minutes later.

Hahaha you joked about this in my blog when I didn't have the fish hit emoticon available. Brave woman coming back for more now that I have access to it lol. Lucky for you I'm in a better mood today haha.

Actually, for me it was a whirlwind of shopping activity. Let's see-

~Stopped at a local shop & got a stained glass butterfly
~Stopped at the Hallmark Store & got a candle & some potpourri
~Stopped at a curtain etc. store & got curtain rods, placemats & a couple of area rugs & vinyl blinds
~Stopped at Dunkin Donuts to indulge my new found liking for toasted almond iced coffee

Now ya see why I stay out of the stores, when I go I spend money and use gasoline hahah. No laughing matter about the gas, actually. When I filled the tank earlier this week it cost $61 effin dollars!! Butter my butt & call me a biscuit, that was a world class eye popper.

Getting to watch Rafa Nadal play at the Artois. I got to see the final, so it's not news. But I'd watch him clip his fingernails.
Of course, Wimbledon starts Monday, so I'll get to see him play for 2 weeks. And maybe I'll get fired soon, so I can stay up late, d/l'ing his pics and such. Then get up and watch him play. Hubba hubba. I have got to take up tennis. For real.

U.S. Olympic Trials for Gymnastics has been on this weekend....day 2 for the women concludes tonight at 7pm on NBC (however, only the top two will be "locked" for the team...others will be named for the Karolyi camp and the final team slots will be named next month).  They should be naming the rest of the men's team today, too.
