I think out of them all, Terence is a good actor.

who said RAVE FEVER?!?!?! i love that movie. that's my favorite Terence film. he's hot and awesome in it. so creepy and yet kinky... i want to see Andrew do something like that..

speaking of gay roles...DW's character in Night Corridor kinda scares me...like in a fawked up way..the part where he pointed the gun at his ex-boy cos he wanted to blow him? man, it was so intense and he made me believe that he really wanted the penis...i got grossed out..i had goosebumps..i'm usually cool with gay scenes like Bishonen, Enter the Phoenix, etc., but Night Corridor was pretty real..

Video CD (aka VCD, View CD, Compact Disc digital video) is a standard digital format for storing video on a Compact Disc. VCDs are playable in dedicated VCD players, nearly all personal computers, most modern DVD-Video players, and some video game consoles

DVD ("Digital Versatile Disc" or "Digital Video Disc") is an optical disc storage media format that can be used for data storage, including movies with high video and sound quality. DVDs resemble Compact Discsin that they have the exact appearance (i.e. diameter: 120mm or4.72in., occasionally 80mm or 3.15in.) and both are optical storagemedia so similar that a DVD reader or writer can usually read CDs, butDVDs are encoded in a different format of much greater density, allowing a data storage capacity 8 times greater (single-layer, single-sided)

basically, they are both CD in different format.

PS: info got from Wiki

Thank you Yulien.

Tin, yeah I'm serious. Just be lucky I know what DVDs and blueray are..

Umm...so why are we comparing four actors who are all in a different point in their careers?

sometimes ppl are in the (film) industry by chance and just continue with it; whether or not they have a talent for it is another case.

my take, i see Terence as a more potential actor...maybe Andrew but i don't know cause i never really seen all of their movie. my POV regarding Terence having the potential is cause he really know how to let loose and joke around. so, i guess he can take part in a role and 'get into' being the character easily.

i have to say (again), i love Daniel's acting in Divergence (wtih Ekin and Aaron). i think he played his character well, and i see that he sorta understand his role better than the rest he had played before. New Police Story is a good one as well.

yeah my reasons are similar, in the improv scenes (credit to daniel's direction) in the heavenly kings, whilst all the others were reasonably restrained and played it simple, terence was the one really bringing the dialogue to the table..

i saw divergence recently and i agree daniel was pretty decent in there. characters with attitude he can portray convincingly; in protege as someone with deeper emotions e.g sympathy, moral dilemma
etc he pulled it off decently.

though saying that derek yee has the got best of every actor he has worked with imo in the films, lost in time, one night in mk, 2 young and protege..

p.s i don't get with the aaron kwok bashing in divergence e.g overacting, unintentional hilarious scenes (car rolling backwards). i thought he was really good and it's commendable he's lauching himself as a serious actor.

pongza, i don't believe that you don't know what VCDs, DVDs, or Blu Rays are. if you've got a comp. to log onto AnD, you should know what VCDs are...you're messing with us.

Oh no no no. I just didn't know what VCDs where. My comp can play them, but never seen one or
heard anyone around me use one before.

The only people I hear using them are asians. And there are no asians here with VCDs.

Where have you been the last year or so on AnD? I've been pissing about how I usually buy VCDs of chinese movies and Tin was all aghast with blood coming out of his eyes. Granted, I'm not "around" you but same thing.

uh...around?

Yeah I know, even saw the pics of you holding up some VCDs I think. But all I saw where just the
box sets that contain them. I still don't know what they look like.

And I don't really google at all.

Tin with blood coming out of his eyes with that morning hair?   Sounds like some Japanese
horror flick.

granted, they're not worldwide but i think you're kinda missing the point here.
pongza's from the asian community despite what country she's in.  and being from a chinese family, particularly one that speaks cantonese and is clearly rooted in hong kong, she should know what vcd's are because practically all chinese families have depended on VCD's for entertainment at one point.  hence, my "are you kidding?" reaction and it's weird for her not to know.

Dude, my mom is from HK. Were you just guessing or what??? Scary....

My family doesn't know either. I ask my mom, she says nope. I ask my dad, he'd be, "what the
heck is that?". I don't necessarily fall into that sterotype.

We used to get hacked cable here until that was over. Then we got DirectTV. Thats where I get my cantonese stuff from. Still no VCDs.

Well, moving on. They look exactly like music CDs. Same plastic. Same printing format in that one side has the silkscreen (usually) and the other is the data. Movies usually come in with 2 VCDs in a jewel case. Can't search by tracks since the movie is one continuous track. Not very exciting.

anyway, anticipating Blood Brothers and trying to get Ming Ming...but have to wait!!!!!

I have no idea if Terence is in a new movie or not...but I did see him in the newspaper. Clubbing in LKF and showing off his cell phone apparently. I was only skimming...maybe I missed the main point of the article. Can somebody please explain to me why showing off his phone to some girl is news worthy?
