Whitebrows(?) appearing in True Legend, a film on Beggar Su directed by Yuen Wo Ping, starring Zhao Wen Zhuo and Zhou Xun.

Is that a new movie??  What part does Gordon play?  Anyone has any idea??  Is this movie showing in Hong Kong?  Here in Oz, it's so s-l-o-w, I'll probably have to wait till it's in dvd!!!  More info, ETchy??

I'm hoping that Sifu Lau Kar Leung will direct the sequel to Young Beggar Su with Gordon playing the matured 'beggar'.  Don't all of you agree??  Don't mind even if it's directed by Yuen Woo Ping, he's also a good director for martial arts, although John Woo has gone too westernised, alas, and depends so much on cgi.

So far, nothing else is known about Gordon Liu's role, other than he being snapped on the set by some reporter and looking like Whitebrows. And from the looks of it, seems like some kind of master (and maybe with a touch of cheekiness one at that), maybe is someone who helps/trains Beggar Su (Zhao Wen Zhuo). But all these are just speculations.

He is too presentably dressed for the part of Beggar Su as the subject has always been presented as 'beggar-like' and living off the streets.  It could be true that he chose this life style if the movie The Young Vagabond (aka Young Beggar Su which I've mentioned before) is to be believed as his character does not care much about  wealth/status (his father was a wine merchant) and the tragic loss of his step-brother and girlfriend.  But then again after he avenged his family, he would have inherited his father's business, unless he chose to give it all away.   I know that Director Sifu Lau Kar Leung usually based his movies/plots with as much facts as possible, so we'll have to wait and see.  But whatever it is,  let's hope Gordon will once again display his skills (and his famous splits)  which we all love and I don't like to see him playing the baddie!.
