no danger of fires atm.  just stale smelling smoke and ash everywhere.  bad air quality.  you can feel the smoke in the back of your throat.  news makes it seem like evacuees are being taken care of as best they can.  hope it's true.  they also keep saying how much better this is handled compared to hurricane katrina.... well, it's not really a fair comparison....  affluent white folks that have easier options after a disaster v poor people that had not much else than they walked out with...

anyway..i need more sleep.  amazing how much energy students drain out of you in the course of a 6 hour day.... otherwise, feeling good in general  :)
