    《綠 咖啡唱作人原創音樂優秀選》是Green Coffee 首次舉辦的原創音樂比賽，而A8音樂所主辦的《A8原創中國音樂大賽》已經舉行至第四屆，今次將會由兩個不斷致力推動原創音樂的單位 “A8音樂”與“Green Coffee”攜手合辦首個《A8原創中國音樂大賽》的香港賽區 --- 《綠咖啡唱作人原創音樂優秀選暨第四屆A8原創中國音樂大賽》，繼續發揚原創音樂的精神。

    香港區的選拔賽將以招募 “唱作人” 為目標，所有歌曲先經過首輪篩選，成功入圍的歌曲，所屬的創作人/組合均需要出席其中一場試音，以現場演繹原創作品來爭取進入最後入圍十強的機會。而最後 十強將會於11月舉行的香港區決賽選出能夠參與由A8音樂主辦的《第四屆A8原創中國音樂大賽》的五強及各獎項得主。
