THE EKKA is....
Exhibits and Pavilions
2007 saw the unveiling of the brand new Animal Boulevard, the supersized animal exhibit featuring every animal you can think of. Queues went around the block for the RACQ Insurance Farmyard Friends enclosure and Dairy Farmers Milking Barn, which gave visitors the unique opportunity to get up close and personal with some of nature's cutest creatures and magnificent beasts.
The Woolworths Fresh Food Pavilion was a hive of activity throughout Show with everyone enjoying the free cooking demonstrations and endless sampling opportunities. Adorable cupcakes proved the pick of the sweet treats, while authentic Turkish gozlemes had visitors going back again and again!
The John Reid Wool Pavilion was relocated in 2007, but this ever-popular shopping hub lost none of its appeal in its new location.
The Dog Pavilion was again one of the most visited exhibits at the Ekka - you'd be hard pressed to find a seat during Best in Show! Mr Whiley's lovely winning Papillon brought the house down, proving a worthy winner of the prestigious prize.
