Back to Toronto. For vacation. Lots of events (weddings
), lots of family
, lots of friends
.
I'm totally looking forward to Mommy's homecooked meals, Cora's (I've blogged about their breakfasts before!), Tim Hortons (Timbits, anyone? I thought about eating some last night!
), Yorkdale, Eaton Centre, Tea Shop 168, The Host (Indian Food), 63 Harbord (for those University of Toronto peeps!),
It's been over a year...
When I first decided to relocate back to Hong Kong last year (I immigrated to Toronto with my parents when I was 2.5), I didn't know what lay ahead. I just held onto the faith that there was a reason why I was to come to Hong Kong, to be in Hong Kong. Throughout this year, I've learned a lot of different things. I've treated a lot of different (high profile) people. I've lived with celebrities. I've made new friends. I've found a new church family. Some people may look at my life and think I got "lucky"- nice home, nice car, nice hubby, nice dog, and now, a nice new flat (yup, finally joined the crazy HK housing market
).
It's not luck, which is coicidental, without meaning. These are all blessings from God. My job, my family, my friends, my health, my life. God can give and He can take away. All in accordance to His purpose. At the end of the day, it's not about me.
The lyrics of one of my favourite songs are below. May it shed some light on Christianity- not a religion but rather a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. May it continue to be a reminder for me, to live life to the fullest according to His purpose.
Blessed Be Your Name
In the land that is plentiful
Where Your streams of abundance flow
Blessed be Your name
Blessed Be Your name
When I'm found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed Be Your name
Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name
Blessed be Your name
When the sun's shining down on me
When the world's 'all as it should be'
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be Your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering
Blessed be Your name
(Matt Redman)
And so, for those of you who've been with me since the beginning (THANK YOU!!!
), you'll remember my ecstatic and almost childish (naive? ingenuous?
) thrill when CityLife Magazine in Toronto interviewed me and I had to choose my photo to put up. Who would've known that two years later, I'd be broadcasted LIVE on Bloomberg Television...?

I hope it's just the make-up, but I admit I do look OLDER in the 2nd photo, n'est pas?
Hmmm. C'est la vie.
