ive been swamped recently, fighting to keep my head above water.
last friday i drove at 5am and left la and got to the bay area at 10am. 12noon i went to pueblo nuevo gallery in berkeley to help set up my solo show “run-on sentences.” saturday rolled around and i was there for 6 hrs. here are some of the few pieces i had for the show:

“fish” (brush pen, 11″x14″)

“battle” (brush pen, 11″x14″)

“dollfaced” (brush pen, 11″x14″)

“there’s a storm in my heart” (brush pen, 11″x14″)

“hummingbird spring” (brush pen, 11″x14″)

“hannah” (verathin pencil, 11″x14″)

“fun!” (verathin pencil, 11″x14″)

“my garden” (acrylic, 36″x72″)
my show was called “run-on sentences” because that’s how i build up my work, i freehand my art so i never know where im going. i may mess up or come across obstacles in my work, but learning how to fix things within composition is part of discovering beauty. this is a reflection of the life i live, it is organic and extremely unpredictable, and whether obstacles or discoveries, they can turn into all things beautiful and create stronger character.
if anyone is in the bay area and still interested in looking at my work, please call pueblo nuevo for an appoinment:
