The
BF and I have been watching a lot of Star Wars the last couple of
nights. After he found out that I've never seen Star Wars, he felt like
it was his Berkeley geekish duty to show me the way of the Force. So we
started out by watching Episode 4-6 and then 1-3. There was a short
debate about whether or not we should watch it 4-6, 1-3 or 1-6. I say
short b/c he was fighting a very nerdy battle in his head, to which I
proclaimed that I couldn't give a Wookie's ass.
I am now proud
to say, I feel the force (tee hee). It's shocking how much it's been
consuming me. Not only am I convinced that Buddha was a Jedi, I'm
certain that if I had a Light Saber I'd be the best cook ever.
All day today, The BF and I have been exchanging Star Wars hypotheticals and random overanalyzed conversations.
Examples:
- Which Star Wars character would you want to be? (BF- Hans Solo, me- Yoda)
- Who do you think is cooler, Yoda or ET?
- Did you notice that it all followed one lineage of Jedi Masters?
- Darth Vader definitely didn't think that one through. Ugh. Men.
- Why was it so male driven? Leia is Aniken's child too! Why didn't he talk to her?
- James Earl Jones must be the most recognizable voice in pop culture. *wheeeeeze*
Then I spent the rest of the day trying to talk like Yoda.
- Done the rice is.
- Shower I need to
Well, that was pretty much where it ended since it look way too much effort to switch my sentences together.
Figured me out he has.
On
another note, I think The BF and I have finally figured each other out. Today, my bf woke up only to find me eating a block of smoked gouda with a butter knife in bed. Looked at me and proceeded with his morning. I
know, I'm a keeper.
BTW: Use the Force and GO VOTE!!!
