Yesterday night in some parts of spain was "San Juan" a night to celebrate the summer solstice, the shortest night of the year.
Traditionally it was a night full of magic. A night where all kinds of evil and hidden creatures can roam the earth freely, so to scare them away, they used to make lots of noise and party those nights. Also big fires piles should be jumped, in order to burn those spirits who wanted to follow u.
In this night, witches gathered all around in the woods to bath in the magic of the ocasion. (and they still do today.)
So...what does this turn into today? Well, now it's a night when no one sleeps, and everybody is out in the streets playing with fireworks and different games...and yes, jumping fire piles in the beach or the streets.
In the last minute, my plans changed. One of my friends called me suddenly and asked me to pack things for a night and run to the centre of the city. There we jumped on a car with an unknown destination (for me, at least).
Finally we stopped in a house, in a village in the middle of the woods, 30 mins away from Barcelona. So, we had all the house for ourself, backyard included.
I will not relate the events that night. I will just say it was FUN, and when I say fun, I mean FUN.
To prove it...a pair of pics with my camera. There will be more pics coming, my cam was used to take vids, which will never be shown here =P Other camer's were used to take pics... =p
