24 on 24th

SO i turned 24 on the 24th, of October

2 fabulous celebrations and 1 awesome pair of spectacles.

Pictures!

greeted by awesome cake from cedele after my return from the loo

and then they tell me i have to raid my ex-boss' shirt for my present

and so i did.........

and found em' shopping vouchers

we then headed to Chinaone, where my favourite local band, Tabula plays...thats the awesome lead singer Kelvin doing this thang!!!

after that we got some pool action

love love!!

Next day, had awesome italian food with my girls at Spizzico, UE Square..

and then boogie to butter

birthday bubbly and our dear Johnny

Lastly, to Overeasy for supper and chill.

All in all, "24 on 24th" was a smash hit

Loveeeeeeeeeeee my friends so!! Till next year!

A Beautiful Wedding

My childhood friend got married this morning.

Its an atypical wedding by Singapore standards, an outdoor day-time wedding, with the solemnization + wedding reception combined.

I came back at about 3pm and the whole world went 'HUH? so fast?'

You see, in Singapore, (and i think hkg actually?), weddings are typically elaborate whole day affairs.

Morning volleying between groom's place, bride's place, back to groom's place, etc etc. Photo shoots, mad rush to hotel where banquet is held, and then finally, the classic 30 tables (300 pax!!) banquet at a 5 star hotel in town that will stretch from 8pm to about 11pm.

So this intimate, cosy affair for close family + friends only was a refreshing change. and I liked it immensely =]

Fabulous F1

Thanks to the bestie E, i got passes to watch the F1 qualifying race on saturday at the Padang Grandstand.

I brought along Wenya, who, sad to say, still hasn't joined AnD since the last time I blogged. But she will one day! haha.

Anyway its really awesome being there! The sweet roars of the engines when they zoom right past you! and the crowd + atmosphere adds to the adrenaline + excitement. Imma gonna get my very own 3-days passes next year, I promise!
