  May 12th marks the one year anniversary of the devastating earthquake in Wenchuan County, Sichuan, China.  alivenotdead.com is helping to commemorate the tragedy by highlighting some of the work our community members have been doing to help rebuild the devastated communities.  
  
  Over the past year a number of artists including Jet Li, Karen Mok and alivenotdead.com co-founder Daniel Wu have lent their time and energy to support charities doing vital rebuilding work.  Daniel and Karen both worked with Habitat for Humanity and shared excellent blogs from their trips to the quake zone:

  And of course Jet Li's One Foundation has been working closely with the Red Cross of China on rebuilding efforts as well.  The Foundation recently hosted the 'One Family Walking Together' event in Wenchuan County. A number of artists from Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong attended, including Daniel.   
  
  Jet Li was kind enough to take time out to sit down with Daniel to explain the idea behind the 'One Family, Walking Together' event and the One Foundation as a whole.

  Our big birthday party is less than a week away!  May 9th is coming up fast and this time we're doing a band show type party!  We're celebrating this 2 year milestone by sharing with you just a few of the local HK artists who have been part of our community over the past year.  Please come and celebrate with us!

  Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes!  Technically the 2nd anniversary of alivenotdead.com was this week!  But as we are so busy working on the site and building the community,  we haven't had a chance to stop and catch our breath and do a little celebrating.
  
  But  fret not! The alivenotdead.com 2nd Anniversary Party is in the works!  Last year's first anniversary party was so much fun,  you know we couldn't resist doing another one!
  
  This year's party has been SET for Saturday May 9th in Hong Kong.  If you're planning on coming to Hong Kong in May, definitely try to make it that weekend if possible!   Details are still being finalized,  but it will be a rockin' good time no matter what,  don't worry! 
  
  Be sure to RSVP here in our Save the Date event listing so we can update you when more details and the performers are confirmed!
