  We have tried our best to help out with various charity causes whether it be for the Sichuan Earthquake in May 2008,  the Taiwan flooding in August 2009 or environmental groups like Reef Check.  Also a number of artists on the site are very active in Charity work,  for example Daniel Wu and Karen Mok both do work with Habitat for Humanity, Paul Wong is very active with Médecins Sans Frontières, and of course there's Jet Li's One Foundation.  

  
  

  Recently the devastating Typhoon Ketsana hit the Philippines, Vietnam and Cambodia and there was a powerful earthquake in Indonesia and a Tsunami in Samoa.  

  
  

  We encourage everyone to help the recovery efforts if possible. Here are some potential charities you can donate through:

  Two updates!  

  
  

  First we'd like to congratulate the winner of our Linkin Park Band Search competition one more time - Macau Band Scamper opened for Linkin Park on Sunday at the Venetian Macao's Cotai Arena.  We've just posted some pictures from on stage on the contest page.   We're pleased to announce that director Teddy Chen has offered to give alivenotdead.com an exclusive early peek at the theatrical trailer for his latest project, the blockbuster named 'Bodyguards and Assassins' (十月围城)

  
  

  

  
  

  the film features an all star cast of Chinese actors and boasts a huge full scale replica of downtown Hong Kong circa 1905.

• 'Alive' goes to Beijing to Promote launch of our partnership with Tom.com

  The four original members of 'Alive', Daniel, Terence, Conroy and Andrew flew up to Beijing on July 2nd to celebrate the launch of alivenotdead.com's new partnership with Mainland China web portal Tom.com.  

  The partnership will share alivenotdead.com's artist content with Tom.com's community in China via their alivenotdead channel, alive.tom.com. This deal will bring artists of all types more exposure in the Mainland market and also deliver premium first-hand content to Tom's expansive entertainment news coverage.
