Thought of sharing this with you guys...my AnD family..
i found this pretty interesting..we all know that there are seven wonders of the world rite...and it came in many many versions..but do you know that, there are actually seven blunders of the world (took it from wiki...yeah i'm a wiki freak!! haha ~lol~)
what is it? it is actually a list that Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi a.k.a Mahatma Gandhi gave to his grandson Arun Gandhi ...and the seven blunders are....
Wealth without work
Pleasure without conscience
Knowledge without character
Commerce without morality
Science without humanity
Worship without sacrifice
Politics without principle
according to wiki, this list grew from Gandhi's search for the roots of violence. He called these, acts of passive violence. Preventing these is the best way to prevent oneself or one's society from reaching a point of violence. to this list, Arun added another one, the eighth blunder
rights without responsibilities
and interestingly, as an act of remedy, Stephen R. Covey came out with his book, the seven habits of highly effective people..he (Stephen) claims that these seven habits help people avoid the seven blunders..and the seven habits are..
Be proactive
Begin in the end in mind
Put first thing first
Think win/win
Seek first to understand then to be understood
Synergize
Sharpen the saw
i'm just wondering, why is it have to be seven, why not other numbers...hmmm
to know more, feel free to browse seven blunders of the world and seven habits of highly effective people.
be good everyone...all the best for the upcoming week..chayo!!
