  DIESEL PRESENTS “CULTivate”:
  A FRESH, NEW CREATIVE PROJECT LAUNCHED IN HONG KONG
  WITH A COLLECTIVE SHOW CURATED BY YOUNG KIM/SUITMAN

  
  

  HONG KONG, SEPTEMBER 18, 2009: Diesel proudly presents CULTivate — a new conceptual vision to nurture fresh talent and celebrate creativity in fashion, art and music — that kicked off yesterday in Asia with a group show exhibiting at the Diesel Planet Store in Hong Kong, before launching as localised artistic projects around the world.
  
  
  The global debut of CULTivate sees the concept shaped by the host city of Hong Kong, where the exciting local surroundings and intriguing juxtaposition of old/new and East/West provided creative inspiration. Creative Director Young Kim — also known by his artist name, Suitman — guest-curated the Hong Kong CULTivate show, which features 10 creative collaborators from around the world.
   

  More than 350 VIP, fashionista and trendsetter guests attended the opening party on September 17, 2009. Local celebrities who popped in to check out CULTivate included: Juno, Candy Lo, Hanjin, Brandon Ho and Brian Siswojo of 24HERBS, Ryan and Candace Hui, Andrew Lin, and Gordon Cummings.
