God create everyone of us unique as His own image. He gives
everyone of us, talents, specialties and capabilities.
I see uniqueness in every person. There are 12 of us on our cell
group, with different kinds of occupation. IT, HRD, purchasing, accounting,
musician, singer, artist, business system, translator, secretary and credit
analyst… Everytime one of us start talking about the field of occupation, it will
show something extraordinary to another. When the doctor start talking about
sickness, medicines and patients… the others try to understand what she said
and amazed. When the musician start to play the instrument, writing notes, sing
with beautiful voice, know the music key Bflet, 7#, or block notes, the other will
amazed…When the IT person start talking about computer system, what program
they use, JDE, SAP, other system u name it… the other won’t understand and
amazed…. my cousin is an architect, I amazed that he can draw buildings and build
the building he draw… and etcetera, etcetera…
God create everyone of us unique, to work together in
harmony… It’s like human body… every part of human body has their own function,
and all parts of body should operate their functions, and together they will make
human living…
If you know that God create everyone of us unique and He
gives special talents to each of us… we suppose to be a secure person, not
trying to be someone else and not jealous to one another…
As God made us unique, let’s look and develop our
uniqueness …
Just watched Michael Jackson movie “This is it” on last
Saturday…(Oct 31'st 09)
Having fun spent quality time
with my family and enjoying Michael Jackson hard work thru the film.
I just write this to remember of
his work on my blog, one way to make me won’t forget…
His work is amazing… Thru the
movie, I saw the preparation of “This is
it” concert, it involved the best people in their field... director, dancers,
choreographers, singers, musicians, lighting director, costume designer, make
up artist, the technology and everything else…. And MJ really is a
perfectionist, and he is very pro… he really knows what he wants, and he
involved in all preparation, he had the timing feeling, and looks like he
really enjoy and having fun doing it… rite place to toss out all of his
passion… like fish swims in the water, one that lives in the rite atmosphere…
It’s very inspiring when he’s
telling all the crew that the concert or what they are going to do is to bring
the audience to the place where they never experience before, place where they
don’t even know that there a place like that. MJ encourage all the artist involved
by saying to them to give in.. all the best they have (their talents…) in order
to bring the people to the new experience… Wow…
And he is really… very humble… He
never speak rude to anyone on rehearsal, always gentle speaking in directing…
He just saying what he wants or what he meant, give them direction, and tell
them “That’s why we do the rehearsal”… He is such a “Great man…”
And also one thing I remember
from the movie, when He gathered with the all crew, and he told them this “ We
have important message to bring ” … “It’s about love… (love all the people)…. and save the Planet “ . About save the planet, I catched something that MJ
concerned about… He said that he loves the nature, but I guess he worries that
the earth will be damaged by human hands. And he said, whose going to save the
nature if not starting from us. Who can we count on, if not start from ourself…
Wow that’s great… It’s not just a
concert, but a concert with great message….
I’m not that big fan of MJ… But I
love to hear his songs… never notice of all his songs lyrics before… But after he passed away, I just
aware that he has deep message in every lyrics of his songs… each of his songs
have meanings and he wants to deliver what inside his heart..… and after his
gone, I listen to many of MJ's songs again, and watch many of his concert video…. He really
is a great artist… Have a very great talent and know how to use it… He is a
hardworking guy, he has a very beautiful voice, he’s a great dancer, he could do
dance and sing around 2,5hours in a concert without out of tone… and he's done
it perfectly (the dance and evrything...)…. wow… I dunno where he gets the stamina from… and he’s doing it
with all his heart…
Just a memoriam of MJ… very
inspiring person… with great vision in his heart..
Three months ago around August 09, my cell group coordinator
was scheduled every cell group facilitator including me, to do 10 minutes
preaching in our church monthly cell group’s leaders meeting. The meeting
usually attend by around 130 church cell group leaders with their spouse,
church ministry department heads, and of course our senior pastors.
I have what I called myself as stage fright . Even though I
have 3 months preparation I still afraid if I trembling in front of the pit and
make shame of myself… . And imagine that I should preach in front of the
preachers..?? where they all know much more about bible than me .
But I never refuse the doors open or opportunity that God used to open for me
to wider my capacity. So I just accepted the challenge.
So I was pray to God, for what topic should I bring for the
Leaders. Around 2 months ago I thought I have to bring topic about “Make a
change” that I’ve written in my previous blog before…. But, when times goes by,
I felt that topic was not relevant anymore. Therefore I pray again and again
ask to God “ what should I share God…?” Until around 3 weeks before the day of
preaching, I got this topic “Trusting in God’s Promises”
I got this topic when I do my daily praying.
The topic is from Genesis 15:1-20, the title is “God’s
covenant with Abram”
Its about God’s promise to Abraham for his inheritance will
be as many as stars in the sky, “if you can count it”, said the Lord .
Which at that time, Abraham is old and have no children. God also give Abraham
“The promise land for his inheritance”
And at Genesis 15 verse 6 said this :
Abram put his trust in the Lord, and because of this the
Lord was pleased with him and accepted him….
The conclusion I share to the church leaders was this…:
We
should trust God’s promise like Abraham, when we trust God’s promise, it will
pleased the Lord and God will make it happen. But first thing we have to do is
trust in God’s promise. After we trust, then the promised will be get done. And
God’s promise is an everlasting covenant. Even when Abraham died, God’s promise
still keep on and being accomplished to Abraham’s inheritance.
After that I shared my life to the leaders about how I
applied about trusting in God’s promise in my life.
I was share this :
God will always give His vision to His leaders, that’s
including me. Since I joined with my church “JakartaPraiseCommunityChurch”
I have the same vision with the church. This is the vision : “ To build a
generation of stars, to influence the world, with the message of truth.
The vision is deeply planted in my heart. So from I got the
vision, God starts to open the ministry for me to minister Him. I’ve got chance
to minister in cell group, begin from being a member, then trusted as a cell
group leader, now trusted as cell groups facilitator. I also have a chance to
teach in children ministry where I can build a foundation of generation of
stars, I as well got a chance to sing at church. I love praise and worship God,
and love being in His presence. While sing at church I hope I can bring the
audience to enter and feel of God’s presence, and hoping they will miss always to
be in God’s presence and will do it again where ever they are. And when people
spend more time in God’s presence, their lives will be built, and I’m hoping
they also become God’s generation of stars.
However… in carry out the vision we usually counters with
difficulties and challenge. I told them that I myself have weakness in public
speaking. I always afraid to speak in front of many people. I even afraid at
the former of teaching in children ministry .
The bible character who similar to me I guess is “Moses”.
Moses cannot speak well in front of people, but God choose him as a leader of Israel. And God
give Moses the capability to lead the Israel.
This quote is so true : “God doesn’t
call the qualified, but He qualifies the called”
I don’t do well in socialize with people. As a leader I
should do both, public speaking and socialize with others…. I should do extra
effort to do both. Where my weakness is, that’s where God give me trainings… I
weak on public speaking… so God open doors for me to speak in many cell group
meetings including on that day leaders meeting . God give me much
training to overcome my fear of public speaking.
To make it short I know God called me as a leader even I
don’t do well in public speaking but I know that He’s the one who will make
me able. I hold and trust God promise in my life such in Psalm 121 :”Where my help
come from?” My help will come from the Lord who made heaven and earth. He will
not let you fall; your protector is always awake….
I trust that my help will always comes from the Lord, and He
will always help and protect me…, He never sleeps…
I was so nervous when I know that have to speak in leaders meeting,
that I told God, “God, You should speak thru me, because I can’t” .
On the “day” of leaders meeting I really really nervous, I was trembling at
first, but after several minutes I was doing well… and I think God really spoke
thru me, because I guess many people who attended the meeting was blessed with
the sharing topic.
