2009 New Year's Day

A Happy New Year!

 (Daybreak)

How did you spend it today? I was able to photograph the first sunrise of a new year from the room of the hotel.

 

And today's breakfast;This is Japanese food celebrating the New Year.

Named " Osechi & Ozohni ". This Ozohni is Kansai style. Vegetables and a rice cake cut in round shape are in with the soup of the white miso base. BTW, the Kanto style has square rice cake and vegetables in clear soup. Becus taste and form are different in every area, I think interesting. It is Kansai style on New Year's Day.And soup containing vegetables and rice cakes for New Year's Day of the Kanto style appears on the next day.(In this hotel). I like both taste♪

カーテン開けたまま寝てしまったので目が覚めたら夜明けに遭遇。キレイだったので思わず撮影~そこから初日の出もなんとか撮影できた。朝食はホテルなんで和食・洋食・buffetと選べる。やっぱり元旦は和食でしょう!ってお目当ては関西風お雑煮だったりする。関東風はいつでも食べれるから関西風がとても魅力ある。白味噌仕立てのお雑煮は珍しいもんね~都内では(笑) このホテルでは2日に関東風が出る。関西風も関東風も私は好き。各地方によってもお雑煮の形も味も様々!とても面白い。

お雑煮の上に浮かんでいる肉っぽいのは「鴨」ですか? ホテルのお雑煮は、家庭で作るのと違って本格的ですねぇ♪
