• Up, Up and Away

  This was the eyepopping sight that greeted sleepy commuters in London yesterday, as Tower Bridge was raised to allow a hot air balloon through for the first time in the landmark’s 105-year history.   
  

  
  

  Created to mark the release of new Disney-Pixar animated movie Up, and painted all over with lots of little balloons, the balloon also had more than 500 half-balloons sewn to its outside with 18 miles of thread.

  
  

  

  
  

  The creation, which weighs as much as a baby elephant, was kept on course on its way upstream by a tugboat.

  
  

  UP is a comedy adventure about 78-year-old balloon salesman Carl Fredricksen who ties thousands of balloons to his house and flies away to the wilds of South America.

  I watched Up early in the summer. I enjoyed it, but I didn't think it was just below the usual Pixar standards. As much as the story was pretty cute and entertaining, I don't know what it was - perhaps concept/delivery- but it didn't have me believing the entire thing, embrace everything. Hahaha But still worth a watch at least once. The bird shares the same name with my brother, and that was a moment for me :P

• White Tiger in Feeding Frenzy

  I was fortunate enough to explore Las Vegas for a bit when I was younger. Although I can't recall much from the trip(s), the performances with the white tigers were very memorable to me.   Oh and hahh, im not big on yoga, if anything i like the reverse of it, the intensity that is lifting weights... oh boy do i love doing that stuff, moshing away with my fellow dumbells :)
