Zi Siong,
Today as I was driving along on my way to work, I realized I left something
at home.
I spend some time every Sunday preparing food for the next week. And I
had chopped up a big bunch of veggies for work today.
But I left them on the table and did not bring them to the office today!
Ugh.
Buy why are veggies important?
One of their key benefits (besides anti-oxidants, fiber, micronutrietnts
etc...) is that they are alkaline. compared to most carbs and protein sources
which are acidic. If we eat too much acidic stuff without enough veggies,, our
body will actually take minerals from our muscles and bones to balance out our
blood acidity. That means weaker muscles and bones. BAD
My latest blog post has a list of foods and their
"alkalinity/acidity" -ve means alkaline, +means acidic. (right click on the link
at the blog to download it)
Learn from me...Don't leave your veggies at home!

Please remember the stuff that is bolded.
