No updates for well over a month. Nothing much to update, and when there was it was all crap. There's been long months of waiting for news from Uni, and now everything seems to be happening all at once. Mainly there's been a lot of stress caused the retards at StudentFinanceDirect who wasted 2 months of my time, and now I'm struggling to scrape the finances together.
Thing is, I always knew this would be a big thing to do. Jack in all the financial stability & job security of a civil service job in order to go to Uni, learn some real skills, and make a better future. It sounds so easy, but so far it has been shit scary!
No home, no job, no income, no life.
They've finally offered me a place to stay. It's a brand new building too! But expensive. I've been looking at Career Development Loans to cover the course fees & most of the rent. After that I know I'll have to get at least one part-time job to bring in enough cash to live off. It was always part of my plan, but now it's starting to look like the only days off I'll get in the next 4 years will be Easter, Christmas & other Bank Holidays. Help...!
But, when all is said & done, I can't stay here. Sure, it'll be hard, but it's going to be worth it...
