a LONG ass day...

From Taipei To Gao Xiong and BACK!
(Me, Hong-Ren & the adorable Evan Yo)
Yesterday i went to bed at 7:15am cuz i was doing some last minute music adjustments... and then woke up at 9:30am to go to the salon for hair and make up. and yeah, freakin exhausted... almost fell asleep when getting my hair washed.
Fellow aritst Xiao Hong-Ren came to the salon at around 11:30am cuz he doesn't need as much time on his hair and make up. We left the salon at 12:30pm to get to the bullet train station to meet up our promoter Fang Ru. Went to 7Eleven to get some junk food.
On the train i was passed out while Hong Ren jacks my IPod and with Fang Ru contacting the Event promoter in Gao Xiong on her celly. It took us 2 and a half hours to get to Gao Xiong and another 30min car ride to get to where the event was held. I was freakin' dizzy as hell from all the transporation and i was the FIRST ONE up to open the show...and gawDayam i felt like throwing up...
after the first song we had a little game with the audience.

I then sang my 2nd song... and when i started singing my 3rd song "Offline Message" my track started skipping!! i was like "wtf?!" then i stopped the whole performance and asked the P.A. people to get it together while i sang an accapella of "who will i be waiting for" to the audience to kill time, hoping they would fix the problem as soon as possible.. but... that didn't happen. But its all good cuz this is not the first time technical problems happened to me.
Afterwards it was all good~
Next up is Xiao Hong-Ren..
We went backstage and Evan Yo was already here, we didn't go to Gao Xiong together cuz Evan is promoting right now, so his schedule is pretty packed. After this event he had to leave right after to another event... So we took a picture and hall assed back to the station to catch our train.
AND WE ARE BACK on the freakin van for another 30min ride to the train station, got some MOS burger to munch on on the way back to Taipei. The whole 2 and a half hour ride Hong-Ren and I chatted and ended our day when we got back to Taipei...
except that wasn't the end of my day...
I grabbed dinner with fellow artist friend Johnny Lin at Jay Chou's restaurant "Mr.J" (its one of my favorite chill spots so don't be surprised if you find me chilling there all the time with friends). I had to apologize to Johnny cuz i nearly fell asleep while having dinner with him.
I left around 9pm to go to Riverside Music Live House cuz i promise my boy Afalean (Lu Xue Rui) that i'd be at his performance. He did an awesome job~ I really enjoyed it. I was pretty amazed when he sang the song "Ain't No Sunshine When You're Gone" one of my fav oldies. I give him props for that!
The lump of hair on his head nearly cracked me up.
after his performance we drank till 12am with homeboy/producer Ren, and i head back home.
i pretty much passed out after my shower...
so that was my day...

This whole week has been pretty hectic for me, i gotta say. I've been working on music with Skot and Ting, damaged my vocal chords and had been dry coughing like a lil' biotch~ and on Halloween night we got conned by a mofo. yeah, that's right... was suppose to sing at a Halloween event but totally got phucked over...not just me but also another fellow artist.. *sigh* long story, ya'll can go read it for yourself... http://tw.nextmedia.com/applenews/article/art_id/32060345/IssueID/20091102 its been all over the freakin TV and papers for the past 3 days... phones been ringing off the hook, inquiring minds wanna know... i mean, how the hell did reporters get my number??! thats just too crazy... i've been freakin' stressed over this whole situation and was kinda in shock when it happened. unbelievable~ thought shit like this would only happen in movies, but nOoo ~ it actully happened to ME! i was like WTF! but whatevers though, no one got hurt so lets just let it pass.. but i do hope this mofo gets rapped in prison!
so anywho, changing the subject... i came home today after jaming with Ting and Skot at their crib, rehearsing for Thursday's peformance and i'm totally pumped with our new song. i gotta say, i think i've been giving the impression of being the "up tempo teeny bopper" with my previous albums? (well, thats what i've been told) so i'd like to change it up a bit. luckily with Skot and Ting assisting me, everything is going as wished for. I mean, its not like i'm giving up dancing or nothing, its just i think its time for me to set dancing aside and let my voice and the music takeover. Something i've been wanting to do for a long time, and now finally get to have the freedom to do so. I seriously don't know if people are going to accept me for who i am, but shit.. its kinda impossible to be able to please EvEryBoDy out there now, am I right? I'm throwing away the packaged image and just let the soul do the work. Its exciting and nerve recking for me, but I know this is something i've been waiting for and i'm not it holding back. Time is not an issue for me no more...its not like l haven't been there before.
so is allllll goooood. living life to the fullest, baby~

你們願意等我嗎？
最 近大家一定覺得我怎麼都感覺上沒有像以前積極的經營我的部落格，Renee TakeOver RADIO也消失了兩個禮拜。。。先跟大家說聲不好意思。因為我這幾個禮拜有一些變動然後讓我很沒有辦法像現在這樣好好的坐下來寫文章。所以要綠 RADIO的時候我會一直心在別的地方因為覺得時間怎麼都過的那麼快覺得一天的時間都不夠用。
其實我在說的就是我自己的音樂。
我 跟音樂好友們一起合作讓我很基極的把我現在的一切放在我音樂上面。我這一個多禮拜喉嚨有點太過疲勞去看了三個醫生，中醫，西醫，可是中醫實在好的太慢了所 以還是回到看西醫。兩天前醫生說我的聲帶有點受傷不能講太多話。我現在講話時候很吃力，睡覺呼吸的時候會一直不停的乾咳。
有時候跟Skot還有庭竹出去放鬆的時候心情會比較平靜一點，一起去看表演之類的。
明天會跟另外的音樂好友TerryTyeLee做歌，我給我自己一個考驗，考我自己的極限能到達哪裡。
我 現在能有我自己的空間做我最熟悉的音樂也是我以前沒有的空間。我踏入音樂圈子已快要7年了，我現在一定要好好把握現在。我希望我能踏出下一步。我知道我能 帶給大家的不只有現在面前大家所看到的這些而已，人生中一定要有個挑戰，不停的要有目標才會過的精彩，這也是給我自己的成長機會。不管你做什麼事情一定要 有成就感，如果沒有的話那我並不覺得有成功。我現在要追求的是成就感，不要去想太多，也別去在乎別人怎麼想。
我現在做的一切已不是為別人了，而是為了自己。現在是對的時刻讓我這麼做了。
這讓我緊張又興奮。。。是個好事情。
我不知道會不會得到所有人的認同，但要討好所有人也是不可能的。
沒有人比我更了解我自己。我渴望的是音樂，是靈魂，是誠懇。
拋開所有拿些光鮮亮麗吧，那些對我來說都不重要。並且那些也不是我從小所生活到的環境。
我要做的是去選擇對的人，而不是讓人家來選我。我相信很多人都不願意當任何人的小木偶。
如果連自己都沒辦法說服那怎麼可能會說服到別人呢？
就勇敢做自己吧。
所以你們。。。
願意。。。

Jam Session

Writing w/Skot & Ting Chu
Yesterday I went over to Skot and Ting Chu's crib for a jam session. I had a demo song I did a year back but I was never satisfied with the finished track.
The chorus of the song I'm diggin' but the verse and the bridge was a no no. So my boy Skot called me up and said he's feeling the song so he wanted to assist me on rewriting it together with Ting Chu.
We found some time yesterday and sat down with both Skot and Ting on their guitar and just started jaming. He sang a verse, then Ting sang a verse and I came in with my chorus. We then decided to add a brand new bridge to it to make it happen.
Within no more than 30 minutes we puzzled everything up and was ready to record down the melody.
Skot quickly sat down with his logic and started making a simple arrangment with his guitar and Ting on keyboard.
I had a freakin' blast jaming with the 2 of them, Ting can pretty much finish my sentences cuz both her and i were on the same page and with Skot polishing on the track our song was complete.
My job now is to sit down and try to put some lyrics to it. Hopefully my boy Gaby can polish the lyrics for me and make it all pretty

No doubt the track is hot. I mean that's what you get for working with talented musicians~ ya hearrrrrd~~
