Rebecca graduated from LaSalle College of the Arts with a BA Hons in Musical Theatre in 2009. LaSalle theatre credits include: Lists directed by Edith Podesta; An Enchanted Evening (Rogers & Hammerstein) directed by Jacqui Rae; 5 kinds of Silence directed by Claire Divine; I love you, You’re Perfect, Now Change, The Odd Couple & Lucky Stiff directed by Paul Lucas; Urinetown directed by Kaye Tuckerman; Into the Woods directed by Shaun Murphy; and NINE, her graduating musical directed by Terence O’Connell.
Singapore theatre credits include: Roses & Riots (Fly Entertainment); Midsummer Night’s Dream (SRT) as a Young Co member; Charlotte’s Web (Players Theatre); Momotaro the Peach Boy (I Theatre) as “Saru” finding her debut puppeteering experience a successful one; The Gingerbread Man (I Theatre) where she played Ermengilda, an over well-endowed old lady; Shades (Buds Theatre Company) where she received a positive review on her Indian-Muslim character "Nazia"; Macbeth (SRT) having a successful run of SRT’s Shakespeare in the Park’s seasons with raving reviews playing one of the three Witches; Into the Woods (Dream Academy) at the Esplanade as Sleeping Beauty.
Outside of theatre, Rebecca explores TV, Commercial and Hosting work and has done Voiceovers for Nickelodeon. She is also a New Paper New Face alumni and has co-hosted the competition in 2008 & 2010, and recently guest presented this year, produced and directed by Fashionista Daniel Boey. She recently joined in as an ensemble member in The Kitchen Musical, a musical TV series airing on AXN in 18 different asian countries, and will be seen from Episode 7 onwards as Bec the Waitress, a “mini-Selena Argon”.
Rebecca’s next project includes Spring Awakening with Pangdemonium playing Ilse. This will be Singapore’s debut of the Tony Award winning musical, set to stage at the Drama Centre in Feb 2 2012 onwards.
Rebecca has enjoyed performing since a little girl and intends to be in this for the long haul. She is passion- driven, willing to learn and is curious to soak up life’s experiences as she seeks to align holistically with her personal & career growth. Rebecca intends pursue a career in Theatre, TV/Film & Movies both locally and internationally.
