Here is my newest painting :) It is my first try to paint a person... I'm not so good at it so I need to practice some more! Have to start somewhere right? I am nervous to try a more complex face... or a whole body... Lots of work to do!

  • very late...a few Wedding Pictures :)

    Friday, May 29, 2009 2:54PM / Standard Entry

    Hello!

I always get way behind in posting news :) I got married in January! So here are a few (it is so hard to put up just a few to cover it at all, but hey) pictures!

Here's the church :) - Good Shepherd Episcopal Church

Rehearsal night! The priest wanted us to practice walking...hehehe seemed kinda silly

My mom and dad on rehearsal night :)

My dog on rehearsal night...begging for food of course :)

My friend Chase came by to do some firedancing for me !!! So fun to watch!

    One more pretty firedancing pic!

Wedding day! My husband on the right with his aunt and uncle

Getting into the dress..with some difficulty! trying not to mess up the hairdresser's work :) The clock is incriminating...10 minutes before the ceremony starts!

    during the ceremony :)

    a little blurry >.<

    recieving line after the ceremony

One of my favorite random group pictures from after the ceremony with the wedding party! I like the informal ones because they were more spontaneous and they make people really smile. You otherwise become incapable of smiling normally after so many pictures :)

This hardly seems to cover half of the day... there are lots from the reception too... but don't want to completely bore anyone! It was such a fun wedding though! YAAAAY!!!!

There's the cute kissing picture to top it off :)

  • I had a scare tonight ;_;

    Friday, Apr 10, 2009 12:50PM / Standard Entry

*sigh* today was scary over at work...
I work serving tables... boring, not-so-fun job to begin with.
    Today I was working cocktail so I had many tables with older people (obviously of age to drink). Then I got a table of younger, but still 90% certain they were old enough. I was a dumbass and forgot to ask for IDs before I got their drinks. When I got back with the drinks I asked for ID's but one guy I'd served sayed he didn't have it on him. I almost threw up. Here in colorado, it's a felony charge if you serve someone without an ID (or underage, or intoxicated). I was so scared and told my floor manager to ask what to do- figured if i got fired for it, i might as well have been honest about my mistake. The guests probably noticed me pale or something cause they asked if i was gonna get in trouble... then talked to the manager and gave the drink back. No one fired me. Though I'm still really nervous they might. If the guests had been a sting, i would have been arrested tonight. That scares me so much. I need to get out of this business. When you're working, and just a simple minute of forgetfulness can get you arrested, fined, fired, and given a felony charge.. it's just not worth it. ;_;
p.s. be nice to your server if they ask for your ID...and please bring your ID, cause it is sooo much trouble on the server if you don't....i don't think most people realise how bad it is.
    wish me luck... *crosses fingers*
i need this to never happen again...

  • A Little Note to Say Hello Again :)

    Friday, Mar 6, 2009 3:31PM / Standard Entry

I have been away from posting for quite a while...
I hope that soon I'll be back around and adding new artworks and such :)
Right now, though, I'm just in a crazy time.
I'm pretty much in a panic trying to get through my last few classes to graduate with my degrees. I am taking three online classes (11 credits) and working 2 jobs. Suffice to say, i'm not getting as much done as I should be with my schoolwork. I'm nervous about getting my coursework done in time to apply the grades to graduation. I would take time off work, but then I wouldn't be able to pay rent and eat and all that. hmm..
Wish me luck, i guess! I'm trying really hard to get through the crunch.
Just a couple more months and we'll see if i've made it. *crosses fingers*
I can't wait to get through cause then I'll be able to breathe again and start doing art again. I am quite creatively blocked right now because of the stressing out.
I have so many projects I want start, but no time to begin!
On the bright side, it is a beautiful february here in Colorado. It's
ridiculously mild... I even wore sandals outside today! It is wonderful now,
though I'm a little nervous it might end in a drought for the summer. Maybe I should start hoping for a little snow. I would definately settle for just some rain though :) I like the rain. I miss it from the northwest and I definately prefer a little rain to heavy snow.
(I don't like being cold!) Snow is pretty from inside with a cup of hot chocolate and not so fun when you have to drive to work!
Alright, I'm definately rambling... so I should probably take off. I hope everyone is doing well! Have a good day!

I absolutely can't help it; these owls are so cute and make me laugh every time! I can't get over their adorable head tilting and their long legs :)

I hope this makes someone smile :)
