My cousin got married back in Australia in late April.  Having family on both sides, it was basically expected for them to throw another wedding for us Hongkies!  I've always been a girl who, um, needed a little more time than the others to develop my sense of girly-ness.  People talk about girls dreaming of getting married and having the perfect wedding.  What left a memorable trail in my mind was a snippet from Friends.

Rachel - How long have you been planning this wedding for?
    Chandler - About a month.
Rachel - Well Monica has been planning this since she was 14.

This, my friends is what I've always lacked as a girl.  Getting married has always been somewhat of an old fairytale for me.  Though I was only a kid, marriage sounded overrated to me - in the sense that I didn't understand how it was such a good thing to dream about.

I have cousins getting married in these recent years and that made me pick up what I never touched before.  Sitting there, watching even the cousins that I didn't know well made me feel so happy and so touched.  For me, it was a thought of 'how great would it be to have such a day?'; though on the other hand I'm really looking forward to some of my other cousins getting married (and I'm pretty sure that those who comes across this piece of writing will be freaked out of their skins right now).  The cousins who are like brothers and sisters, and best friends of mine.  I'd like to think that I'd be more involved when that day rolls by - after all I did accidentally become a match maker!  This is a dangerous zone to visit... as it leads back to some of the old days that I really miss.  So before I get too sentimental...

Had a great day chilling with two families today.  Feeling like an outsider at the beginning, all the ice melted when the kids decided that I'm .. uh, existent and when I met their Retriever Chocolate!  Chocolate is the most adorable dog ever, him and I bonded like long lost mates hehe.  Fun continued as we decided to make a random trip to Big Wave Bay where I took the youngest of the kids splashing out towards the sea.  I really can't decide which was better, being with Isaac the little baby or being one of the crew trying to convince Chocolate that he would like to swim!

It's time for bed... having to wake up for dinner after falling asleep was just too painful!  Haha...  New respect for parents and the energy they fire up.  Taking care of kids ain't easy...  I really doubt my ability to raise kids hahahaha
