For that one person in our lives, that comes without warning and sweeps you away. The person who makes you feel as though you never loved before.
I still try to not breathe in deep, because I'm afraid that I will tear apart from this heartache. Missing you is the only thing I can do.
You smiled at me
I felt the rush.
A quickened heart
my face which blushed.
Your hand touched mine
and the world ceased.
A gentle kiss
I could not breath.
You whispered words
that made my soul flutter.
A single promise
there would be no other.
Yet you leave
quicker than you came.
Still you're gone
and nothing's the same.
