Prince Billy Dee isn’t a household name yet, but that doesn’t mean he’s new to the rap game. In fact, he’s been grinding away for over a decade in Atlantic Canada . And Taking care of Buisness , a Family and The scene.alive not dead  recently had the chance to talk to Bill about the past, the present and the joys of being a Canadian rapper.

AND Where did it all Start?

Dozer  I started out I remember In my bedroom with an old kariokee machine my Mother had Id Tape a take With The Beat in The side without the record then Take it out put it in the other side and lace back ups , those were dope tapes I wish I still had. Another thing I'll tell you about is how Practical Academics started back in the late 1990's I was going around bustin raps one of the only other guys pretty much other then Criminalunderground crew Tech Thai and Kween the Trip Rob Banks was making Beats and Recording I herd a buddy of mine who he knew Told me he charged a bunch of money to record and I talked to him rapped a bit and not long after started a group with him on beats and me Mcing ever sence.

AND  are you working on anything "NEW" projects or have any shows planned for the Summer?

Dozer Yeah Its gonna be busy Im right now doing a Practical Academics " Funktion Live Album. out In August.  Before that Im coming out with a solo ep Ive been busy with for years getting the right beats for this Album and from the right people, and Also been word of a Tour or two this summer One with More or Les from Ontario and well see about others and if so we will let you know fo sho.

Dozer I really havent been playing many I played with ghetto Socks Back in May and Rocked Fringe urban festival and I host the open mic last weekend of every month @ the cellar Hoping to do lots more in the future for sure and real soon.

Dozer I really havent been on Many a Couple songs with just good friends like Eric, (Eric Broadbent and FattMatt Mixtape other then that Its heard to get time to record last few years
