Dance Music & Dance valley 2008

Well , is that time of the year , dance events are happening everywhere , Trance energy , Sensation white & Black and this year dance valley with 65,000 ppl + with headline djs Tiesto vs Ferry corsten and Carl cox on the same stage , with more then 18 stages ! with 60 other djs including John digweed and Sander van doorn .

As a dance music DJ / Producer/ Event organizer my self in Asia ,that's one thing i miss about back home in Canada , because we have a lots of large scale dance event happening in door and out door almost every 2 months and i 'm more of a big room type of dj , but not so much into small room stuff, that's just my personal preference , and the only place that have the similar type of event in Asia is probably Singapore " Zouk out " , due to China/HK where government don't really support this type of event and it really make it hard to promo this type of " music , label and event across .

Especially with music label now days , digital down load really changes the music business completely , but i don't think i have meet one dj in China that buy his own music at all ..... and that really hurt label world wide
but i've been a loyal dance music veteran for more then 15 yrs , so i just hope the scene can only be stronger

Well , is very very very hot in Shanghai right now , every day is like 35 degree and i'm stuck in the studio trying to finish my track , hopefully will be done soon , but still got a lot of fine tune to do , if you are into progressive and driving trance then stay tune ! , i will upload my track to AnD when is done

Is been awhile since i did a mix cd , so i decided once i finish my single track , i will start to work on
a new mix and hopefully i will have it done by Sept and this mix set will reflect to exactly what i play at live gigs , "Uplifting , Driving with Melodic elements . I will definitely uploaded and post the link for you guys to download , so be patience

Summer is here and all the big dance event around the world are ready to gear up !, but i just can't believe only in a few years how fast Poland dance scene had grown so quickly into large scale event , this year they are expecting more then 20, 000 ravers + , with headline dj Armin Van buuren , Tiesto and Markus Schulz all in ONE! CRAZYYYYYYYYYYYYY : )

Woooooo Hooooooo !my first blog at AnD ! think think think ??? what should i say ? , because i'm not really into blogging , but since i'm new to AnD so lets join the party right !

I just came back from Beijing to visit another producer over there and it was a very interesting trip , the vibe is so different then SH & HK of course and it was really cool to see how other producer work over there.
right now i'm just finishing my dance track and hopefully soon i can uploaded to AnD and share with you guys ! " Hopefully won't hurt your ears " !..HaHaHa

you still need a dance hit so people do know you. you look at paul okenfold, dj tiesto and the likes all have hits. btw, i love beatport too.

Michael L, a Canadian DJ/Producer from Canada now travels around the globe between Canada and Asia with his non-stop uplifting and driving rhythms, he has played at numerous events throughout Canada, Hong Kong and China

He got his start in 1998 with his first set of decks in Canada , as his passion had grown more into dance music by 2004 Michael L had also started in music production in the studio , he firmly believe digital revolution constant changes in the digital world with software and fx machine, Michael L can produce a very unique style of his own.

He has made remixes, edit and bootlegs for his own usage, and now Michael L. is getting ready to release his new single in Fall 2008 and beside producing dance track , Michael L also specialize in electronic sound design for commercial.

Over the years Michael L. has played at some of the biggest events throughout Canada, Hong Kong and China. In 2006 he travel between Canada and Hong Kong and played alongside some of the big names. His recent sets at 2006 Halloween dance event in Hong Kong saw him playing alongside with Kyau & Albert and He was also was invited to play at the Autumn Festival rave in Hong Kong with Andy Moor.Earlier this year in Shanghai, Michael L had spun with Ronski Speed and was also the star attraction at one of the first club raves Absolute white party at Absolute House in Shanghai China.

Michael L. has played at many of the top dance event in Canada including International Music Festival, one of the biggest dance events in Western Canada with more then 5000 people in attendance. This event attracted leading DJ's Yoji Biomehanika, Scott Project, and John O'Callaghan.
In 2005, Michael L was also invited to play at Dooms night, one of the biggest Halloween event in Vancouver, Canada. More than 4000 people attended this great night.

With a long list of big events including Trancemission , Fusion dreams and many other large scale dance events , he has spun with the likes of Ann Savage, BT, Svenson , Ronski Speed, Scott Project, Luke Chable, BK, and Shy Brothers. This has helped make Michael L a great global class DJ.

In 2006, during his visit to Hong Kong, his vision for dance music in Asia got extended and he could see the potential of the dance music industry in Asia. Michael L. has adapted well to be a part of the success of the music industry in Asia.

Michael L was also asked to do a monthly article on the electronic dance culture by one the most popular night life magazines in Shanghai, High Magazine.

Dance music is truly Michael L's. passion.
