Sorry I haven't kept this site up to date. I've been doing a lot of traveling with my mate/partner, Arthur Acuna (currently playing Harry Shaw on The Kitchen Musical).
Arthur & I were offered to do a cameo in Direc. Jeffrey Jeturian's Bisperas in February this year. That was the second time we had worked as an on-screen couple. This time as "Mr. and Mrs Scarface"....seriously.
By April we were both in New York City/ Hoboken, New Jersey. I was working on the film AMIGO by John Sayles as the Variance Films "outreach specialist" , or as my colleague Vince Nebrida labeled me, the "Ambassador to Variance Films' AMIGO by John Sayles. The great Mexican film maker, Alejandro Springall (My Mexican Shivah , Frida) became Arthur and my instant "compadre" as we were housemates at John Sayles & Maggie Renzi's townhouse/office in Hoboken. Arthur was doing a workshop of Duncan Sheik's new musical, Whisper House, in Manhattan and a play at Ensemble Studio Theatre (Bike Wreck by Qui Nguyen) in New York City.
I moved to Singapore by mid-June to join Arthur and attend the ASIA ON THE EDGE conference. Finally some time for a much needed break. Admittedly, I am not that good when I am not acting or not busy with other work. So, in between reading a play I was offered to do in NY and Manila, private acting coaching from Arthur (and me coaching him), seeing sights in Singapore, my runs at Fort Canning, eating glorious Singaporean Cuisine and making new friends with The Kitchen Musical Cast, I unconsciously started managing Arthur's career and websites. Coincidentally Arthur is my manager as well.
Shortly before we left Singapore, Arthur and I saw Miss Ling from Fly Entertainment. I left the meeting with a very good impression of the casting agency and the entertainment industry of Singapore. Before that Duncan Sheik had flown into Singapore to meet with us too.
So, here we are back in Manila after some six months of traveling. We just returned from The Kitchen Musical promo tours in Kuala Lumpur & Jakarta about 2 weeks ago. The Kitchen Musical cast and production team welcomed me as part of the family.
I also had my article published in a book called Against All Odds: Miracle or Coincidence IV. Arthur & I just attended the book launch at Manila Polo Club.
Life has offered me several opportunities to shine in different artistic endeavors this year and i am grateful... you just never know where the universe will take you when you leave yourself open to success...
