    Indescribable.

    I am not feeling well.

Me and my brother went for supper last night down Arthur St., near Edward St., here in Thunder Bay, yesterday. Afterwards we walked home, and we passed a St. Peter's Presbyterian Church. I looked at its vastness and I commented, 'Why don't we go to church here?' He replied, "I don't like new churches." So we continued walking, and I dawdled behind. I was following these green markers that pointed to a certain house, with the numbers 303 on it as the address. A big house, left derelict but still in good shape. It had a separate porch to the side with the number 301, on it. Like a separate quarter for boarders. It has rocks on it, masonry is what they call it. And cement steps. I went to look towards the end of it at the left and looked at a key padlock on it. I then walked home.

This morning I woke up at approx. 5 a.m., and as I usually do, I took my time getting up. Then I started thinking about this old building and something clicked in my mind. "I lived there," I thought. Then I recalled a dream I had recently. I was upstairs in a big spacey area, with the sun streaming down, and the floors were, seemed, glossy tan, almost golden. I had my bed on the far side as you walked into that bedroom, and the sun streamed in. My dream flashed to the front door, then a man walked in; my husband at that time, and he was happy, as he was usually when he walked in. Mostly likely, hugged everyone, and he did something with his hat. As I wrote before, I go back to my previous lives in my dreams. I then remembered there used to be iron fence where the padlock was, and it was padlocked still at that time. I used to go there and finger the padlock and there were bushes beside it. I think he used 301 as his office, where I wasn't allowed.

I was stunned. Then I started crying.

I cried for a bit, then I decided to go there.

I put a coat on, with a hat, and started walking the same route. I looked at the houses, and started thinking that the men at that time built these houses and he must've been one of them. They made cement stairs back then, and real solid houses. I got myself a bottle of rootbeer so I could sit on the porch of that old house and drink it there.

So I got to my old house, and bricks were in the yard. My thoughts were, "Those are my bricks." I went to the back, and there were 2 garages where you park your cars in. We were well off, I thought.

I went to the front and looked way up, and sure enough, there was the window loft where the sun streamed in.

I sat on the front of the porch of 303, and realized he wasn't happy there after awhile, after we were through.

He drank alot there, on the steps of 303.

  • New kittens, finally.

    Saturday, Apr 21, 2012 3:28AM / Members only

    Kittens. finally arrived.

    It was quite an experience.

I went upstairs yesterday morning, after finally giving up trying to watch a movie. I was still in the drowsy state and I couldn't get into watching it because I was still sleepy so I decided to shut if off and went back upstairs and crawled back into bed. All of a sudden, I heard my daughter screeching, 'Mom, mom!" a couple of times. So I scrambled back up, grabbed the prepared laundry basket and came back downstairs. She was at the door to the basement holding the cat, and she said, something like, 'the baby is hanging down from the womb.' I quickly scooted both of them into the laundry basket. Sure enough, the baby kitten was there! She was off to the right of the laundry basket where she landed. Sunflower noticed her (finally) and geared towards her and started to lick her. Whew.

My daughter said she was going to back to sleep on the couch downstairs and as she laid there, Sunflower came flying out from underneath the basement stairs with loud screeching meows and came running towards her. She noticed that Sunflower was pulling her baby along. That's when she, in turn, started screeching at me. Sunflower was mystified and didn't know what was happening to her, I guess.

I put the laundry basket underneath the basement steps and I asked Tiggy to bring a lamp to us. She brought the lamp and I was coaching Sunflower. The second baby came out soon afterwards and laid and laid there. I finally broke her water bag and handed her to her mom. She licked up and ate the rest. She knew then what to do with her third one. I had to grab the squealing baby kittens away from the birthing area as each one came out. I don't know what was happening to them, it seems like their little mouths were covered with something and it took awhile for them to proceed to wail. One was totally black, I mean totally black! A rare occurrence. Poor sunflower started to shake at her fifth baby.

She was finished finally and then she was able to rest.

I brought them upstairs and changed her sheets in the livingroom and we looked at what turned out!

Six kittens, one is completely black, two gray tabbies, and the rest, black/grey tabbies. Mind you, Sunflower is a cheshire cat, so it will be interesting to see who's who here.

It was time to introduce Fernando, the dad to his kittens, so I brought him down from the bedroom (where we locked him while we were giving birth) and placed him near the laundry basket. Sunflower started messaging him with a few of her meows and he looked at the new kittens, went to lay down at a nearby carpet and groomed himself. Now he never hardly grooms himself, so I think he was being a proud daddy. Something was communicating to his brain.

I placed them upstairs in my bedroom where they can grow until they're old enough to be around their dad.

So Sunflower kept squashing them when she would return from her feeds. One wailed so loud, I had to go and take a look. She was squashing them! It took about a day of pulling them out from underneath her.

During one of her feedings she didn't return back right away, so I put all the kittens onto my bed. I laid beside them and stared at them in awe. They started to meow and she heard them. She scratched at my bedroom door so I let her in. She bounded up onto the bed, and laid down. Then she grabbed one's head with her whole mouth!!! I was mortified, and I thought she would hurt him, so I tried to unclench her mouth. I finally figured out what she was trying to do, so I quickly scooted all of them into my hands, scrambled off the bed and placed them into the laundry basket! Ha, ha. Sunflower came between me and the laundry basket, and made a beeline for me. She was backing me away from her babies! So I yelled at her, 'Okay, I'm out of here!' and dived back onto my bed. Ha, ha.

Yeah, one is already adventurous. He keeps investigating his surroundings, straying away from the pack, so I named that one Super Trouper. I hope he doesn't get his head stuck between the rails of the laundry basket.

One time I had an image suddenly pop into my mind of a cat with a white patch on his left paw. He's going to be the one for me. I looked and looked for a black cat with a white paw in this litter but he's not there. He's not born yet. So I am going to allow Sunflower to have another litter and hopefully he will be there.

  • Moving to another site.

    Thursday, Mar 15, 2012 2:49AM / Members only

I thought I would give you heads up on my next move.  I am going to move to a general blog spot somewhere in the internet world.   I'll let you know where this site will be after I find it.  I have to peruse the internet first.  Does anyone have any knowledge as to what site would be the better ones.  Comments are welcome.  I hope you have a good day.  I am doing fine, I got back from Thunder Bay yesterday.  I brought my brother home because he got hit by a vehicle.  I am going to try to nurse him back to health.  My friends tell me drivers are not careful there.  They seem to hit the pedestrians there.

  • Walks.

    Thursday, Feb 23, 2012 12:36AM / Members only

This morning, I remembered I have to give a birthday card to a fellow named Greg.  He's with Opportunities Plus, an agency for disabled people.  I met him one day about three weeks ago, and he told me that he had a birthday on 'Friday'.  He asked me to give him a birthday card.  I said I would drop it off at the agency on Friday.  Anyways, Friday rolled around and I forgot it, until sometimes during the day Saturday.  I remembered again this morning, so I decided to give him a card today.  I perused through my cards.  Greg is forced to walk.  One time I met him, and he was asking me so forlornly, 'Why do I have to walk?  Because the Doctor said so?  Because it's good for you?'  I said yes, in wherever I could, maybe once or twice.  He likes to ramble.  So I came across this card, that says, 'In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks.' I thought maybe it would encourage him.

I am starting to love walking also.  It's mostly good.  There are alot of things that I find intriguing as I'm walking, and I think, 'I missed out alot when I used to drive all the time.'  Last summer, I think I must've collected approximately twenty pencils.  Even, the crunch of the snow under my feet, the stillness of the air, and the cold, crispy weather ministers to me.  Sometimes I'll stop in the middle of a road, and enhale, bask in the surroundings around me, especially if I'm in the middle of a forest, woody area.

In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks.
