DJ Laze was born and raised in Penang, Malaysia. He started DJing at the age of 19 in 2002, when he starts work as a trainee Dj in V2 Dance Club. At the same time, he also former an underground hip hop group with the name of “Ill Symphony”. He is the only Cantonese Mc among all the group members. At the year of 2003 the Ill Symphony have joined the local production company “the-bazement” to appear in the 2nd compilation album called “Malaysian Fusion X Part 2” .Laze was involve with 3 track in this album and 1 of the track is produce by himself and he was interviewed by our local TV station which is “8 TV”.
After completing that album, he continues with his dj career at Screwball. At the same time, he also organized a few gigs in Penang, that’s Celestial Noise Elevation 1, Celestial Noise Elevation 2, Celestial Noise Elevation 3, Urban Volume 1, and Urban Volume 2. All these gigs received very good response from the crowd, because the entire gigs involved a lot of local hip hop artist such as The Tarik Crew, Junior Hustle, Damian From V.E, etc. Year 2005, Laze started working in R&B Pub and Bistro as a resident dj. Besides that, he also joined the Blastoff 2 held by Astro Hitz.tv with the group Lazy Laze and this group is one of the Top 10 Finalist in this particular competition. In that particular year, Laze was invited to perform as a guest dj in “Planet Rock” Ipoh and also the in house dj for a huge event “Party With The Stars” organized by Starfriends and sponsored by Celcom Communication. Artists from Taiwan and Hong Kong also took part in this event and Laze also became one of the few masters of ceremonies for the whole program that night. 2007, Dj Laze joined the biggest club in the northern region Malaysia Vivo the Dance Club. Because of the numbers of the outlet in this company in Malaysia, Laze have played in Bed Kl, Mois Penang and currently Laze became the resident dj in “Dream Live Music Station”. .
