    Christmas ...

    Birthday ....

    New Year ...

    Spring Festival.....

It's the holiday season. Everyone is cheerful and everyone should be cheerful.

    Some people who do not

But I don't feel this way. My mood is going down and down.  raining or snowing?

  • What do I want?

    Sunday, Nov 6, 2011 1:21PM / Members only

LIfe was becoming extremely busy. The job occupied 90% of my life, even in my dreams.

It should not be this way. I don't want to be a workaholic and I don't mean to be.

Yes, most of the time we need to sacrifice something in exchange for an acheivement in career or in life, but not everything.

Missed my friends and the time of my own.

What do I want? started asking myselft this question, AGAIN.

  • "Who's on Your Fridge?"

Who's on Your Fridge?" by Peter Bregman

    From: http://blogs.hbr.org/bregman/2011/08/whos-on-your-fridge.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+harvardbusiness+%28HBR.org%29

"we're always projecting things onto other people. We just often choose to be critical more readily than we choose to be inspired — to project more negative things onto people than positive.

In fact, we seem to rarely miss an opportunity to be disappointed. We focus on what people are doing wrong, on their weaknesses and shortcomings. We gossip and complain. We get frustrated and passive aggressive. We find ourselves constantly surprised by the flaws of our colleagues: How could he/she/they do that?

What if, instead — or at least in addition — we chose not to miss an opportunity to be inspired? If we gossiped about things people did that energized us without fixating on the things that disappointed us? If we looked for sparks that ignited our enthusiasm and incited our goodwill? And if we allowed those sparks to light our fires of passion?

If nothing else, we'd feel better about the people around us, the world we live in, and ourselves. Maybe just for a moment."

  • Cute Stuff

    Sunday, Aug 28, 2011 11:17PM / Members only

Last weekend I accompanied Verse to Panjiayuan Antique Market to buy gifts for her Japanese friends. This was my first time to go to the famous Panjiayuan Antique Market even though I have been here in BJ for many years. It was really fun.  These were a lot of cute things.

Today I put the two wood figurines I bought on my shelf (they only costed me RMB160.). They made the whole wall look great!

    I like these bracelets, beautiful!

  • New Job Offer

    Wednesday, Aug 24, 2011 2:44PM / Members only

    This came so fast!

Two weeks ago when I was strugglling whether I should prepare myself for another law degree or for a new job, I received a phone call from a recruitment agency. Then I was recommended to Schneider.

Last week, I had two rounds of interviews and they phoned two of my references. Yesterday I was informed that there are still two more rounds of interviews ahead, but today  the agency orally told me that they are preparing the offer!

It is too fast to allow me think through if this is the best move for me.

I like the coworkers in their legal team and the package offered looks good. Compared to spending anther one or two years of my youth in a law school, I decided to take the offer.
