I just watched 'Dinner for One'. it's on TV every year on New Year's Eve. watched it in the living room with my mom, since my TV is gone.

the original is in black and white but unfortunately I could't find that version in b&w...
now, the introduction is in german but the actual play is in english.
here is a translation of the introduction for those of u that don't understand german :
'Dear audience, ladies and gentlemen.
We are at the country house of Miss Sophie. For reasons of discretion we conceal the name of this old family.Miss Sophie invited her 4 best friends to a birthday dinner and I want to announce the seating order (points to the chairs when saying the names): Miss Sophie will sit there, here Sir Toby, here Admiral von Schneider, there Mr. Pomoroy, there Mr. Winterbottom.
Ladies and gentlemen, there is a little problem. Miss Sophie isn't the youngest anymore, it's her 90th birthday today and she's outlived her 4 best friends by now. She buried the last one 25 years ago.
However, Miss Sophie doesn't want to do without this birthday dinner and since these gentlemen can't be here for obvious reasons, butler James will act in their places. That went well every year and it will go well this year, because the order of this dinner has been the same for years.
James will ask:'Same procedure as last year?' over and over again and Miss Sophie will answer:'Same procedure as every year.' Whereas there is a specific accentuation on 'every year'.
(now a part for people that don't speak English, so not exactly necessary for u

I'm sure there are some of u that won't think it's funny, but I'm laughing my ass of every time I watch it!!!!

hi there!!
my name's Hannah and I'm a girl from Germany that loves the east-asian part of this world... and its men. 
I live near Trier, Germany's oldest city. it's pretty if you're a tourist, but I want to live somewhere else as soon as I have the opportunity and the money - preferably somewhere in my favourite part of this world... who would have guessed.
I'm not such a big writer, that's why I haven't written anything sofar even though I've been a member for quite some time now.
