Thanks Joanne!  I got the shiny leggings on eBay for only $10 CAD, it was quite inexpensive, esp. seeing that stores here sell them here for almost triple the price.  Yay, I'm glad we both like vintage items.  I just find I have a thing for something from the past, especially once I find out it's no longer being made.  :D

I was really surprised how good Beyonce was in the film, I haven't watched "Dreamgirls" yet, will have to check that out.  There were some scenes in "Cadillac Records" where she sings and her voice is so powerful.  I was literally blown away!

My weekend was pretty good, this time I tried to be good and did all the housework Friday night.  I don't know what possessed me to do such a thing but it frees up my Sunday afternoon :)

I watched Cadillac Records at a friend's house last night.  Loved Adrien Brody and Beyonce's acting, quite amazing and the film wasn't bad.  Have you watched it?

I'll make sure to take a pic of the jewellry when I receive it :-)
You should really check out Etsy, it's cool b/c you can also find stuff that is in your area, kind of like eBay but they can actually pinpoint a certain location and just show all sellers from your area.  I think I'm going to do that next time so that I won't get charged customs for buying from the US.  Sometimes the Canadian customs let it go, sometimes they charge me customs and taxes.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend! :-)  Any plans?

I'm thinking the Golden Oreos are kinda new too...but only bc I never noticed them until earlier this year. I'm sure they've been around for years. haha. I try to stay out of the cookie aisle 'cept to get my Ritz, my Wheat Thins and my Chips Ahoy. ;P

How are you doing this season? Is it very cold and damp where you are at this time?

It true, few of our friends understand historical English humour and in the case of OZ, NZ and UK the constant state of warfare keeps it sharpened where many of our friends are out there shooting at each other when all they need is a good game of Rugby to settle all of that nonsense.

From what I have seen you can add Canadians to the list as well, they may sound like Americans but they do have a sense of humour.

    Joanne,

The kiwis are OK but don't tell them we remember Piggy Muldoon in the days of Yaw before Kiwiland was born again under David Lange.

If you even mention them joining OZ they would chainsaw NZ off the edge of the Australia plate and head off to Hawaii.

They have a pretty good sense of humour but never mention bowling underarm, thats nearly as bad as the ALL BLACKS (Awl Blix) losing a game of Unions in Australia where the streets of Bondi are awash with the tears of Kiwis.

    Hey JS,

I just read your blog "Talk dirty...Okay it's your turn to do the dishes." WOW... I admire your courage! I think being stuck on the phone having to talk about sex for 12 hours straight would put me off the activity completely =)

I read this magazine (I think it was Cosmo) that suggested that trainees kept the job only if they were able to keep a client on the phone for more than 15 minutes. I reckon that would take a lot of blow*job talk...hahahaha. Did you ever have girls call up. I would be so embarassed I wouldn't know what to say!

I love Dr. Martens, I think if I had a lot of money, I would go and buy all the different colours, hehe :p
We're totally the same about headbands.  The one Butter sent me is really soft and I almost don't feel it on my head.  I think this is the only type that works for me.  I've had some cloth ones that I put on and after 30 minutes, they were either falling off me or causing me major headaches.  The plastic ones don't work at all for me b/c they press too hard and block off blood circulation :(
