How many times did you laugh today? Laughter makes you happy, makes you healthy!!!

The other day, I met Dr.Hideo Nakajima (中島英雄),a brain surgeon and a professional comic storyteller(rakugoka). He had the interview with a big grin on his face and knew how to let me have fun and laugh. It was a very pleasant meeting with him.

Hiss Rakugoka's name Zenji Katsura(桂 前治) is on the backside of his doctor’s business card. This typeface is especially used for Rakugoka's name.

Once a month, he gives storytellers' performance in his hospital for 20 years. Collecting hospital-based patients' study immediately after the performance, he released medical research one after another. The level of blood sugar of the patients was decreased. Caused by activation in the brain, alpha wave and beta wave were measured at the same time. Improves immunity and gives unusual healing properties.
According to him, the mechanism of laughter is as follows. When primitive people took poisonous food, they spitted it out by putting up the corners of mouth. It means laughter was an instinctive action to prevent risks. At the same time such expression brought the senses of safe and relief. Laughter is the human gift for survival. When you are stressed out, the secretion as so-called toxin appears in your brain. It seems to be reduced only by laughing and crying.

It's a pin of a qualified Laughter Therapist. In one-year training session organized by Dr.Nakajima and others, participants should learn how to make humorous jokes at different cases in addition to medical and sychological studies. The participants include doctors, nurses, office workers, teachers, patients' family members. More than 200 therapists are active in the country. They say that Japanese rarely someone with humor. I should learn more.haha
"Humor ist, wenn man trotzdem lacht.(ユーモアとは、にも関わらず、笑うこと)" The matters that trouble people enormously differ from one person to another.Get on with our lives together.
