lol thanks for the MSW update. and I was thinking the exact same thing  but about a Scots man being cast as English J/K.
Ay the political world we live in...total nightmare.

    Have a good sleep!

aw hun no need to apologise, even I can't understand the things I write the first time I read them, sometimes ever :D.....I love Murder She Wrote btw, great little series, I always wanted Angela Lansbury as my mum, she's so sweet.

I find the K and J Drama's to have a much wider storyline, likewise I've long given up on everyday soaps..I remember Shortland Street!

It will certainly be interesting to see Oguri playing a cop, but likewise I agree he seems too young, perhaps a beat cop but I think a detective needs to have the age on his side for me to truly believe he knows his stuff.

Bouncers can be very effective in turning things around to suit them, it's often more hassle than it is worth for the Police to take anything but their side.:(

I know in Memoirs of a Geisha there was a lot of trouble caused as Japanese didn't understand why three Japanese girls could not have been cast in the role, while some of the Chinese believed it was insensitive for their girls to portray the role of  Japanese given the history between the two nations. Maybe Asians are more sensitive because for many years the western world have always stated 'Chinese, Japanese...whatever',unable to tell the difference in their ethnics and perhaps the casting of another ethnic further fuels the ignorance of many in the West. I honestly don't mind ethnics playing different ethnics, I honestly feel it shows their versatility like you say I think it is a thing to be proud of.

yay I love you too!! Especially after the line about the man dying in his sleep if he messes with you.Amen to that! Good on K too,and for your friend who broke the fella's fingers, totally support her, I'm all for ladies knowing how to fight back.

I think some bouncers get away with it because of the age of some of the girls going into pubs and clubs, they are underage and some like the attention while others don't want to cause a scene and be risked thrown out, bouncers tend to forget that most adult women won't stand for it, unfortunately it causes a scene and ends with the girl being arrested for either 'Noise Violation' , 'GBH', or 'Drunk & disorderly'. No matter what way it's cut the bouncer always gets away with it.

Thank you for the link to Louise Nicholas she is one brave woman to have faced what she did, her determination for justice is second to none.

re Oguri ;) and thanks I hope to see Crow Zero today sometime, at least some of it.

Never mind the buzzcocks can be funny, it's extremely evil with its sarcasm and it's all to do with music so Noel fits right in, hope you and K will love it.

Oh I know what you mean about Lister in Coronation Street, I've caught it a couple of times and I just laugh thinking of him in Red Dwarf, to be honest his character in this doesn't seem to far removed from Red Dwarf, it does make me feel old seeing the age on him now.I don't get the attraction of soaps here, it's all about affairs and murders.

Thanks about that saying, when I found it yesterday it made me smile

lol I fully understand about the appeal of some men, it's like a diet and someone placing gold dusted profiteroles on your lap, you like it but it's just more hassle then it's worth sometimes ;)

I concur over Nosferatu, no matter how many updated versins there have been he still is the most scary.

I should of stated that it was Shun Oguri's character, the leader of the GPS that I quite liked and that it should of been a 'quiet' not 'thinking man' I wrote, as in he seemed a silent assassin until needed to show more force than usual. Hopefully I'll get to watch a full episode today, everytime I've attempted it something pulls me away.

Totally agree about the shamanism, I find men more attractive when their hobbies and interests aren't the usual suspects.

I think I'll have to swing by the Pete Sweet blogs again too!. Noel Fielding is a regular host of a quiz show called 'Never mind the buzzcocks' now and I can't help but find him adorable on it.

    Thanks about the pjs lol

    Jaine,

Gidney and Clyde were these two funny little guys who came from the flip side of the moon and one of them carried this 1960s "ray gun" and if they wanted to paralyse anyone they "scrooched" them with the ray gun.

Just as an aside, as a kid I could get all of the cold war propaganda but never got the swing of why they took the pisss out of Dudley Do Right.

Canadian guy down the road explained it, the mounties really ARE that dumb so it made sense that Dudley was star struck over Nell who in turn was starstruck over Dudley's horse while the horse did not give a sh*t, it just wanted a regular feed.

ahh Hunting.  Duck Season? Wabbit Season?

My last slip up with George in WHAM, too, especially since he called me out from the stage and sent a guy to come get me and bring me backstage.  Luckily I lost him in the crowd.  Could you imagine if ...*shiver*  I'd be too upset with myself.

Start work at 5pm? Is that the equivalent of our Thurs nite trade here?

Yes I love the hats, especially big broad ones.  Regular folks at these sort of events spend upto $1,000 just on new outfits alone even before getting there. Imagine you;'ve Oaks Day, etc, etc.  Can't be seen in the same outfit twice now can we??

We're 34c today and trying to stay indoors. Still thinking..... should I go play badminton in an hour's time?  This is my day-off work.

Haha actually my memory is awkwardly too good.  When it comes to certain things I remember events that happened to me when I was under 3 years old.  But I can't remember stuff that is more recent.  I remember dates when things happen to me really well too for some reason.

Thanks for the link, completely agree about the dubbing they've done on the video, keep it natural I say! Looks like there are a few teary moments in the series, I think I'd fall for the leader from the looks of the video, he seems a thinking man but acts when needed.Come to think of it I just like men full stop, but it's very much a look don't touch mentality I have these days as you know ;)

Great to hear you concur on the Gackt subject, knowing my luck I'd end up with someone looking more like nosferatu hanging around my neck.

Hey  I think it's great you've learnt 'Mary had a little lamb', next step 'Stairway to Heaven'. I managed to track down Ryan Dun on youtube with his lessons, he's had quite a few followers, I like the soldier's song!

The two bad guys were Boris Badenoff and Natasha Fatale but if you ever need to take the piss out of the yanks, dig up the two little guys from the moon, Gidney and Clyde and threaten to "scrooch" them.
