hey folks, hope you all had a great Easter, I did
got into the garden, it is now Autumn and I want to get a few things planted (mainly ground covers) while the earth is still warm (I have yet to purchase them, I'm just clearing space). Also a retaining wall over my path is close to collasping so I have to clear the shrubs and dig it out and re-do it. Gah to the useless sod who put it in in the first place.
I had some visitors doing the garden though

I also had some random woman knocking on my door at 9 in the morning wanting to know if I would sell my house. I said no, she was interested in subdividing it. Gah there is enough infill housing in my valley. I think she thought that I also owned the empty section next door - only in my dreams.
I like my little villa and wouldn't sell it!What is it that sends people into supermarket frenzies the day before a public holiday that requires all but basic service providers to be closed (In NZ, legislation requires this on Xmas day, Easter Friday, Easter Sunday and ANZAC morning). I went to the supermarket on Thursday to do my weekly shop and holy moly, it was insane. Why do people panic so, it's hardly like anybody is going to starve on one day and convience stores, service stations etc are open. sheesh

self regulation and Korean Dramas

Self regulation - I have none, not when it comes to AnD, playing Ratchett & Clank, Facebook (a whole heap of old school and varsity friends are on there now), reading and now Korean Dramas.
NZ tv is crap at the moment so I have finally started on my big list of Korean Dramas that I would like to watch. I started with Full House, because it has been recommended to me by Butter and Enigma and because it is on mysoju.com and because - let's face it - Rain is very VERY nice to look at.
So I watched the 16 episodes in two days, geez it's not like I didn't have anything else to do. Anyway big thumbs up from me, I enjoyed Full House, I cried a lot coz I'm a sap, what more can I say....
I see that Full House 2 is coming... I wonder how good it will be, I have high hopes

K and I have been watching the Mighty Boosh with Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt. This little gem was an extra on the dvd of the 2nd season. It is funny but a bit rude (simulated sex scenes with an imaginary person, - you don't see any naughty bits
) so viewer discretion is advised. Noel is quite sexy, in that skinny, too much eyeliner, cheeky, British way, you will appreciate this more if you have watched The Mighty Boosh.

Okay horoscopes are not really my thing, but I just felt like sharing a piscean blog with my sister and brother pisceans out there (and of course anybody else who may or may not be interested) for today is a glorious celebration of the day of my birth
Mythology - the story of Aphrodite and Eros. The story involves Aphrodite and her son Eros escaping from the terrible monster Typhon by turning themselves into fish and hiding underwater until it was safe to come back to the surface. As fish, they tied their tails together with a cord so that they wouldn't lose one another while swimming in the darkness of the deep water. Upon hearing their tale, Zeus rewarded the pair by placing them among the stars as the constellation of Pisces.

The bollocks - Pisces is the 12th sign of the Zodiac and is represented by two fish swimming in opposite directions. The two fish symbolize the internal struggle of the soul within a Pisces. Feminine signs are considered more passive, receptive and sensitive than masculine/positive signs.

Dangermouse - the coolest cartoon hero ever

Introducing the coolest cartoon hero ever, even cooler than Atom Ant and Scooby Doo (which is REALLY saying something, I love Scooby Doo).
Dangermouse, is very 80s, one of the villians, if you are not familar with the cartoon is a big green toad called Greenback (and yes he had an American accent, which made a change from the German accents UK baddies used to have - and the Russian accents American baddies used to have
). I don't remember the other villians? Anybody else?Penfold is also a pretty cool sidekick, though if anybody saw Freaky Friday with Jamie Lee Curtis, the guy who played her neurotic needy patient (Evan) looks a lot like Penfold.
