I'm Back!
I missed you all!
Thanks for everyone who left kind comments and best wishes in my last blog, I really appreciate it. Rather than responding individually I thought I would spend that time catching up on some of my feeds, which is about 480 (better than what I thought), I wont get through them all but would like to go through some.
WELL..... I arrived in Korea (Busan) yesterday afternoon and was met by somebody from the agency that placed me in work and taken to a motel where I chose a room with internet YAY. My visa finally came through on Wednesday and I booked tickets straight away to leave on Saturday. I must saying moving to another country is really rather stressful.
Both Kahurangi and myself have had a few "oh shit, what have we done" moments.
the first when we got to Auckland and the traffic was bad and there were people everywhere. How could we cope with going somewhere even more populated! Kahurangi survived her first long haul (12 hour) flight okay, I'm very grateful for those little personal entertainment units. We went through Shanghai, I originally wanted to go through HK but I ran out of time and money. Korea Air certainly don't seem to care about luggage weight the same way NZ and Australia do -thankfully coz we were both over it and all my books were in my cabin bag (the limit is 7kgs and mine is about twice that, I'm sure the bruising will go down soon
). How is one supposed to shift to another country with only 20kgs worth of stuff!!
Trust me to arrive in Korea the day before a public holiday (its Children's Day or something). So I'm off to meet the School Board tomorrow (I'm getting really nervous) and hopefully get into my new home. It's quite good really coz it means today I can rest, get my bearings and catch up on AnD. woot
PS my blog title was random and has nothing to do with anything ....
