I can read and write Chinese, but my command of Chinese is not at all good. I can express myself better in English (my English is far from perfect); after all I have been living in England for a good part of my life.
When you refer to your English, you can say the same about my Chinese, so don't worry about it. The most important thing is so as long you can convey to others what you wanted to say.
No one is perfect in every department, so next time you hear someone criticising you, make sure that the criticism is constructive, otherwise just throw it in the bin and forget about it. Too many people take ALL criticism at heart without weighing it up or digest it properly, and begin a self-destruction process, which I find sad.
Now I only hope that someone can translate that in Chinese. :-)
