Today, Jason C. Miller will be appearing live on the air on WJJO 94.1 in Madison, Wisconsin at 12pm CENTRAL time. If you live in the Madison area you can listen in on 94.1, but if you live anywhere else in the world you can listen in on www.wjjo.com!

Jason will be talking about the new Godhead album, ‘At the Edge of the World’ and WJJO will also be playing several tracks off of the new album. Don’t miss it!

Godhead's New Album is Less Than a Week Away!

Hi Everyone-
            With the release of the new Godhead album “At the Edge of the World” less than one week away (Oct 7^th), I wanted to write each and every one of you personally to encourage you to pre-order the album.
This is will help us have a great first week of sales and will help the band in SO many ways. A great first week will help us get played on more radio stations, help us get on better tours, excite the distributor, the record label, the press, and will help Godhead get some (in my opinion and probably yours if you are on this list) well deserved attention.
This is in no way greed based. Godhead is a band that sells just enough albums to put out the next one, and at the very least we want to continue to have that level of success.
The reason I’m pushing the pre-order so much is because the music business has changed drastically over the last few years, especially at retail stores. Tower Records is out of business. Virgin Megastores are closing all over the country. Wal*Mart and Target won’t even carry Godhead in their stores (guess we’re too “evil” to be in their stores, but not too evil to be sold on their websites), and so we are left with competing for shelf space with Miley Cyrus at places like Best Buy (who have made their music section smaller and smaller)!
If you guys come through for us and we have a strong first week, then we’ll be able to take that success to the next level, and maybe a friend that you turn on to Godhead WILL be able to find the new album at their local store. It will also mean that we’ll be able to bring you more music in the future.
If you plan on going to your local music store to buy the new Godhead album, PLEASE call them first to make sure they HAVE it. With gas prices the way they are, I don’t want you to waste a trip. If you plan on buying it on itunes or any of the online mp3 stores then that’s awesome too, just please try to do it the week of October 7^th.
Thank you for sticking with us for so long and continuing to support Godhead. If you are reading this, that means you took the time to get on our mailing list or become a friend on one of our networking websites. For that, you are amazing and we love you. Without you we’d be nothing.

Godhead at Alivenotdead!

Hey guys-

Jason here! Just wanted to tell you guys HOW and WHY we ended up at alivenotdead.com! Besides the fact that being in a band these days means you have to be on EVERY social networking site on the PLANET (bebomyspacebooktrigfreaks.com anyone?) I actually MET Patrick (rottendoubt) while he was visiting Los Angeles a few months go at Kelly Hu's house and he told me all about the site! Sounded like a great idea to me so I signed us up!

We've had 3 albums released in Japan, but we've never made it over to any part of Asia to play. We'd love to expand our fan base to Asia of course and get over there to play!

Being a practicing Buddhist myself, I certainly have an affinity to Asia. I'm also heavily involved in The Sogan Foundation (www.sogan.org) and I'm a practicing martial artist (Hung Gar Kung Fu), and my Sifu is originally from Hong Kong (www.bucksamkongkungfu.com). Oh yeah and Wong Kar Wai is one of my FAVORITE filmmakers! Does he have a page here yet?

Anyway, we hope to be active members of the alivenotdead.com community and look forward to communicating with you all!

Formed in the mid- '90s, Godhead has been steadily building their fan base and emerging as a true international rock act. Their major label debut release of ‘2000 Years of Human Error’ on Marilyn Manson’s Posthuman Records in January 2001 and the 2003 summer release of the follow-up ‘Evolver’ on Reality Entertainment, have sold well over 200,000 copies to date world-wide. After years of touring extensively with Marilyn Manson, Disturbed, Static-X, Mudvayne, Rammstein, Pigface and Saliva to name a few -- as well as performing at Ozzfest and the Reading and Leeds festivals overseas -- Godhead has scraped, clawed and carved out their own place in the rock music world.

"We're one of those bands that has done it all, from touring in a broken down van and playing in front of 10 people to entertaining festival crowds of tens of thousands. We've certainly paid our dues and then some, but we don't feel we are owed anything", says front man, Jason C. Miller. "We've always believed in ourselves and our fans have always believed in us and they constantly let us know, which is amazingly encouraging." says Miller.

Formed in Washington, D.C., Godhead was signed to Marlboro Music and had two successful European releases in 1994 and '95 followed by their first US release, ‘Nothingness’ in 1996 and ‘Power Tool Stigmata’ in 1998. But it wasn't until 2001 that Godhead broke out in the US.

After years of hard work and determination, MTV and radio stations across the country started catching on to the Godhead sound and began playing "Eleanor Rigby" and "The Reckoning" in heavy rotation. The band would play in front of over 3 million people in the next two years and appear on three major motion picture soundtracks including the gold selling ‘Queen of The Damned’ as well as ‘The Blair Witch Project’ and ‘Dracula 2000’. Their success continued into 2003 with "The Hate In Me" single from their Evolver album that turned into an MTV2 hit as well as the song "Far Too Long," which was featured on CBS Television's "NFL Today" show. In 2006, Cement Shoes Records released, ‘The Shadow Line’ which also included a DVD of videos and behind the scenes footage. The single “Trapped In Your Lies” put Godhead in the rock radio Top 40 for the first time in their career.

Now signed to Driven Music Group/ Warner Brothers, Jason C. Miller comments, “Driven Music Group is going to be a fantastic new home for Godhead. We couldn’t be happier to be a part of this company. Creatively they are letting us bring our music to the audience exactly as we’ve intended, and as artists we can’t begin to describe how much we appreciate that!”
