R.E.D. Mission Disaster Relief Charity Sale & Auction

In Aid of Sichuan Province Earthquake Victims

Thank you to all the fans of Leslie Cheung who supported our fundraising appeal that ended 22 May.  We now announce that R.E.D. Mission in collaboration with LeslieTong website has donated around HK$200,000 to the RED Cross Society of China.  Moreover, R.E.D. Mission Japan has donated around HK$45,000 to the RED Cross Society of Japan.  However there are still over 5 million people in the Sichuan Province that are still homeless and destitute as well as a majority group of wounded and sick that required treatment and cure.  Following the disaster, reconstruction work in the quake-stricken region is of paramount importance.  Therefore R.E.D. Mission has decided to organise a fundraising auction and charity sale in the hope of extending Gor Gor’s benevolent spirit in helping the Sichuan province earthquake victims to rebuild their homes.  o' ~+ w# f7 y7 t" K3 y$ P

Thank you to the generous fans who have kindly donated Gor Gor’s precious collectibles for the charity fundraising auction and sale. Japanese Weekly magazine AERA foundation 20 years commemoration:

"LOVE CALL-the portrait of the age"

Photographer Eiichiro Sakata kept taking pictures for AERA since 1988. In this time, 900 pictures are displayed at Tokyo Marunouchi bilding, Shin-Marunouchi building, Gyoko street Gagallery and Marunouchi-Oazo. AERA is the meaning of the age in Latin. It is the portrait which exhibits a cover every week that symbolizes 'AERA'.

In 1999 Mr. Sakata took Leslie's pictures. Leslie's portrait was covered AERA magazine. So we could see Leslie's portrait there.

Good News from Today's Mass

We prayed for the Earthquake victims and the Cyclone Victims. I donated to victims of Myanmar cyclone at the church. Everyday I watched the news about Sichuan Province Earthquake. All Japanese people well known that Earthquake did extensive damage. I pray for them at the church ...and I think there's a little we can do now to help them, except donation.

We RED MISSION Japan started to donation campaign to raise fund for the Earthquake victims with RED MISSION (Hong Kong). We are collecting the fund from 15 May to 22 May and then we will donate the fund to the Japan Red Cross on behalf of Leslie Cheung International fans alliance RED MISSION Japan.

In the wake of the catastrophic earthquake in China's Sichuan province, many have lost their homes and beloved family members. So far the death toll has reached 15,000. Many victims in the affected disaster areas are still trapped beneath the rubbles of collapsed buildings.

In 1999 when a massive earthquake hit Taiwan, Gor Gor did not hesitate in lending a helping hand both in kind and deed. He not only appeared on the various television stations' disaster relief programmes but also promptly contributed generously with a personal donation.

Now although Gor Gor is no longer able to personally participate in this disaster relief activity, nonetheless his truthfulness, kindness and beauty continues to live on through us. To this end, RED Mission is appealing to everyone to participate in this disaster relief activity so that our dear Gor Gor in his faraway land will be proud of our act of love.

In recent days RED Mission has received many enquiries from the Mainland and overseas fans regarding the possibility of an organised and united fundraising appeal in the name of Leslie Cheung. Reaching out to offer a helping hand to raise funds for relief efforts for the quake victims is an extremely urgent matter. John Lennon Museum

I went to John Lennon Museum on 29 April. It was wonderful! I could understand his music, his works and his spirit indeed.

At first John Lennon was an idol as a member of the Beetles but he became an artist. I think Leslie was same as John Lennon. He was an idol but he became an artist!! When I listened "Twist and shouts" in there, it remind me Leslie's song in his Passion tour concert.

I like John Lennon's song "Imagine". Maybe I'm a dreamer, too. I like to sing this song because it makes me happy.
