Ms. Takako Tokiwa talked about Leslie in her interview about her new movie "Love Letters in the drawers".

She is thinking the letter that tell her important feeling to lover, or family, or friend or co-worker is love letter. Her drama series had got big hits always, but she was very tired to continue to work.
When she felt the limit of her power, she found the courage to speak at last . She told her boss about her dream-"I want to be a co-star of Mr. Leslie Cheung- a big star in Hong Kong Movies" (by letter).  Then in 1999, her dream came true.
There was support of this love letter behind the start when she became superior actress.
