I feel a bit sad cause yesterday the boys (I always call Dong Bang Shin Ki "The boys" don't know why >_<) left Korea again for some massive promotion activities as "Tohoshinki" in Japan. I kinda like it more when they are in Korea... don't know why though.
Anyways... I still want to wish them good luck with Kouhaku and the promotional activities for Bolero/Kiss the Baby Sky/Wasurenaide (to be released 21st januari ;) ).
It has been an exhilarating four months of activities in Korea and this fan made video pretty much sums up why I love these guys. If it wasn't for their close friendship with each other, their wonderfull and sometimes goofy characters and their sheer humbleness I probably would have never started to listen to their music (don't ask).
So just watch this video and let yourself be dazzled by all that is Dong Bang Shin Ki ^^

Serious Request
Wednesday, Dec 24, 2008 1:08AM / Standard Entry
Every year the radio station 3FM holds it's Serious Request. Serious Request is a project in which they collect money for projects of the Red Cross. Three DJ's live in a house of glass for six days without anything to eat. Meanwhile they play songs requested by people who listen to the radio and those who take time to visit the house, With the requests the listeners donate a certain amount of money that is reliable for the person in question. Furthermore lots of notable Dutch people are helping the project outside the house. There is also an auction held every year.
The project was held for the first time in 2004 and has been held every year since and takes place during the week prior to Christmas. In these years they always had a major project the are raising money for (although the Red Cross is the main coordinator of these projects). In 2004 it was Dafur, in 2005 the children in Congo, 2006 the casualties of landmines all around the world, in 2007 it was the availability of good drinkwater for everybody and this year all the money will go towards 36 million refugees all over the world.
I think it's a wonderfull project so I just wanted to share it with you all. Especially at this time of the year when we all sit cosy in our beautiful decorated homes while 36 million people on this world are either bundled up inside make shift houses or don't even know how much further they have to go before being able to finally feel safe. And not even knowing wether a lot of their loved ones are safe or not.
So I just wanted to spread the word about this great project! They've passed the 1,3 million Euro mark this afternoon and they're hoping to reach 2,5 million tomorrow because then the Dutch government will double the amount.
3FM Fighting!!!!!
You can visit their site at http://seriousrequest.3fm.nl/ of listen/watch their stream at http://www.3fm.nl/page/3fm_liveplayer/cam

Soo....

Wow.... a lot to update...
I hadn't realised that I haven't posted anything about DBSK winning Daesang (aka big prize) during both MKMF and the Golden Disk Awards.
Now it had been a time of ups and downs for the boys.
The ups being the winning of many awards (sadly not the MKMF Song of the year award, Big Bang's Haru Haru won that one). The downs being the fact that the board for protection of youth in Korea deemed the song "Mirotic" unfit for minors. Because of words like: "I got you under my skin" and "The devils ride..." The silly thing is... this ruling came long after the two months promotion the guys did for this song before releasing their new song "Wrong Number" at the beginning of november. By that time... they didn't perform the song anymore, millions of viewers already heared the "dirty" song and 380.000 copies of their album had already been sold, thus it's pretty meaningless to move the album for the 19 years and older section...
Oh well... SM Ent. already started the procedure of fighting this decisions and untill that time the boys will be performing the 'clean' version, singing "I got you onder my sky" >_<
Onto bigger and better things I guess.
Two quick things:
DBSK's new Japanese single "Bolero" (sceduled for release 21st of january) is the theme for the new Japanese movie called Subaru and~
I have been very sad cause at recent shows Jaejoong has been absent... but on the upside he was busy filming a Korean/Japanese collaboration movie called Heaven's Postman. But now he's finished, so he can work on removing those bags that are currently hibernating under his eyes.
Christmas is around the corner and my job is getting mucho busy. When I took this job they said that getting time off during the holidays is quite impossible. And now I understand why.
For those that don't know me... I work in a factory that processes chickenmeat (any kind whole chickens, chicken legs, chicken breasts, etc.) for supermarkets. During the year we also have some other products like turkey, hare, deer or rabbit.
But during the holiday season...we have virtualy anything in stock made from animals people eat (okay... except for beef and pork ^^). And the sheer volume the stores are ordering. It's like the economical recess doesn't excist during Christmas. It's madness. People are working around the clock to get all the christmas tinted food to their designated supermarkets. Expedition works in two shifts of 12 hours. And they even thought it would be a good idea for the QA department (where I work) to pitch in. Like I don't have anything else to do! Well okay... I'm not THAT busy... but you wouldn't let someone with at salary of 15 euro's an hour do production work??? Well.... appearantly they do...
Anyways... here to the holiday season... only 2,5 day of work before I get some time off.
Merry Chistmas...
And because of the holidays... here's DBSK - Noel (korean version of course, English is not really their forte >_<) (oh and after that "One" pretiest song EVER!)

Whaahhh....

So first of all... congrats to Dong Bang Shin Ki for winning 5 awards at the MKMF! Including the Album of the year award and more importantly the Overseas viewer award with a stagering 93% of all votes. Well if that won't drag them out of the country to do a massive tour I don't know what wil.
And also congrats for reaching the 360.000 mark of albums sold for 'Mirotic' thus reaching the same number of sales for their third album "O"-Jung.Ban.Hap. And I'm sure by the end of this year they will reach 400.000 (what with the repackaged version and all).
Then some news from my side... I will be making a costume for Chibicon this time. And it's going to be Lulu from FFX since my friend wanted to dress up as Yuna (of whaterver her name is ^_^).
It's going to be a real challenge, but at least now I have experience in making a corset... so then the only thing I really have to worry about is a skirt made from belts.... and a little bit about the hem of the dress but I know I can manage that ^_^.
Then onto coming march... on 25th of march I have my first appointment at Tattoomania. And the name already gives away the surpise... I'm going to get a tattoo on my left shoulderblade And it's going to be this one (obviously altered some by the tattooartist)
You may wonder: "Why wait so long before getting it?" Well... if I had my way I would have had it already. I made the appointment in october and well this shop is so good it has a waiting list of 6 months. So this was the earliest available date. Of course it's a good thing they are busy even though the shop is in the middle of a suburb of Apeldoorn. That means they are good enough for people to actually make an effort to get there (it's an hours drive for me).
And I said first appiontment because two weeks later is my second... Ahhh I can't wait. At least it gives me the time to work of any eccess fat still on my body ^_^
Anyways, I'm done talking now... catch you on the flip side (god I love "The Boondockt Saints")
And love to P, S and L. You know who you are!

Mirotic
Saturday, Oct 18, 2008 3:46PM / Standard Entry
Two weeks ago, Dong Bang Shin Ki released their 4th album Mirotic. And due to postal service I was able to hold it in my own hands friday a week past.
Even though I already heard some of the songs on the album (believe me I tried not to but the web is more powerfull than you would think!) I couldn't wait to play the CD!
But I had little time that day so I just popped it in the car and tried to listen to it while driving.
And while I was driving... Jaejoongs Solo song Forgotten Season came on. I actually got goosebumps listening to that song! I can't believe that anybody can put so much feeling in his voice.
Last thursday on M! Super Concert he did his solo live. And what do you know? Goosebumps again! Please everybody listen to it and tell me (tell me, t-t-t-t-tell me~) what you think!
(try putting &fmt=18 behind the link to get better quality, that way you can also oogle his pwetty eyes)

Well, needless to say, the boys again made a great album and I'm thouroghly enjoying all the promotion activities they've been doing (although it wouldn't kill them to take a day off seriously, they even performed their comeback stage at Inkigayo whilst having the flu, and Chunnie now still looks pretty sick all wrapped up thick clothes)
Anyways, the album is selling very good. It passed the 200.000 mark last week. And it's still going!
Oh and if you have te spare time watch Jaejoong and Changmin (soulfighters!!!) performing "It's raining men" *giggles*
Again add the &fmt=18 for better quality ^_~

I'm sure I could go on ranting about this for hours but I have my fellow fans for that!
Annyong untill the next time!
*hugs*
