• alivenotdead.com is proud to be partnering with BIG Events to provide local bands the opportunity to perform at one of Hong Kong's biggest annual street festivals - The Lan Kwai Fong Beerfest 2008.
  
  The event will be held May 24th-25th in Lan Kwai Fong.  In addition to food and beer, LIVE MUSIC is a big part of the festivities.  alivenotdead.com is helping BIG Events to organize an audition session to select quality local bands to perform on stage at Beerfest 2008. 
  
  Auditions will be held on Saturday April 26th from 3pm-6pm at the California Bar in Lan Kwai Fong.  Each band will have 10 minutes to perform before a panel of  judges made up of alivenotdead.com artists  - some of Hong Kong's most respected musicians - including Paul Wong, Jun Kung and Ryan Hui.
  
  ANY kind of band, playing ANY kind of music is welcome to sign-up.  The judges will give each band a 'thumbs up' or a 'thumbs down'  - bands that are given the 'OK' will get the opportunity to perform before thousands at the Beerfest in May.
  
  Performing at the Beerfest is a great way to promote your band and get experience on stage. Don't miss this opportunity!
  
   
  
  How to sign-up:  Signing up for the audition is SIMPLE: Just RSVP to this event here on alivenotdead.com. 
  
  If you don't have an alivenotdead.com profile, you'll need to make one.  RSVP 'YES' and in the text box say "I want to audition, the name of my band is ____' .  We will contact you by alivenotdead.com mail several days before for more info and to confirm your audition slot.

  The third annual Beerfest – a celebration of great beer, food and fun, will be held in Lan Kwai Fong on 24-25^th May, 2008 (Saturday and Sunday).  From 1PM till late, the streets of this famous entertainment district will be packed with food, drinks and non-stop excitement.   
  

  On that day colourful marquees will dress up the streets and offer visitors a chance to sample everything the area has to offer - a delicious selection of Western and Oriental tasty foods and snacks; beers and ales from around the world; plus games and fun to keep you entertained for hours! Visitors can also learn the history of beer making, partake in interactive competitions and challenges, and enjoy a variety of shows and events including live music of the latest up and coming bands planned just for this festive occasion. Other highlights include eating and drinking competitions, Miss Beerfest competition among the beer brands’ models and cook-offs. 
  

  With over 35 restaurants & bars and many booths presenting international food and beer, live entertainment, cooking demonstrations – there will be a host of tempting treats just waiting to be discovered.
