I cannot bring myself to words right now...so I will not complete my already late English essay tomorrow because Leo is sitting in my lap frozen cold. As mentioned in one of my first entries, he has had diabetes for quite some time now. I think it's almost goodbye. I've never found him so cold before. It felt like ice and it was just not right. Tears are still spilling out  as I type this out.

I know I can't be selfish by making him stay even though he is suffering so much but I am still not ready to let him go even though I've told myself over and over again that I need to. He just looks so weak and limp now. The only way I know he is still with me is the small movement he makes when he breathes.

I seriously hope he makes it through tonight.
But if he doesn't, then that's okay too.
    I'll survive either way.
Better end things sooner than later I guess.

  • Mixed feelings

    Yo!

I want to keep this entry quick but there's seriously a lot on my mind right now. Okay, hope this entry won't bore anyone (even though no one will read it probably)

Let's start with something freaky that happened on the way to the parent conference today...I got off the mini bus with my dad and saw my mom, so I walked over to her but before I did, a man with long hair started swearing at me in Cantonese. I don't know him and I've never seen him and...I didn't bump into him or anything. I just walked past him and he turned around and swore at me. Luckily, my dad was behind me and gave that man a long, hard glare. All of a sudden, that man cowardly said sorry and ran away. I seriously have no idea why it happened but I guess I just have to deal with it. Hong Kong just gets weirder everyday. I don't think I'll go to that area alone for a while.

Looked a lil like this dude but his hair was dirtier and he didn't have a beard. Just a moustache.

Mentioned the conference earlier. I saw all six of my chosen teachers and it was pretty nice to hear them compliment me. The only major concern for the teachers was that I can do better because they feel that I am only doing enough to pass. It's true I guess since I am trying to work but I am constantly distracted (like right now, I'm supposed to be finishing up my material research for DT but here I am on AnD!) I miss my study habits but eh, it's only the middle of the term. I just need to improve in time for the next report card which will be out in Feb. I usually pick up my pace and hand in everything just before the deadline for teachers. My average dropped from 5.8 to 5.1 but I know I'll be okay as long as I have time to catch up! I feel a little bad right now because JT got the same average as me and she said it's okay but I was a little too focused on myself and told her that I did terrible =.= Sorry JT!! I wasn't thinking straight!
My math teacher kept telling my parents that if I didn't give up too easily then I should be okay with math but that main problem is that it's too hard for me! He said I need to attempt every question even if it doesn't make any sense and also move onto the extension questions too.  But I can't even do half of the standard questions, how can I solve the extended equations?

    So onto some funny stuff...
Yesterday, Abi asked JT, PS and me a question at lunch. "Where did my apple go?" All three of us looked at the apple and cracked up The small apple hid perfectly behind box of Vitasoy milk ...-will update later-

    Need to finish my DT!

  • Movember!!

    Hey hey

Movember's here! It brings back so many good memories! Most of the (male) teachers at my school are participating in Movember. For those who don't know what it is, Movember is the month where moustaches are grown to raise awareness of prostate cancer and cancer among men. Also, funds  are raised and donated to charities in Canada, Australia, Europe and South Africa.

There's been a joke going on about MR. FS that he might not be able to participate because he might have trouble growing a facial hair. Don't know if it's true or not, will ask him next time I see him.

Here's a picture I want to share with y'all. I found this on Bernice's blog the other day. I absolutely adore her because she is so hardworking and clever.Have been disappointed for the last couple of years since she still hasn't gotten any awards at the TVB awards ceremonies.

This picture of her and Bowie just rocks because they're two of my favourite actors. I think both of them are extremely talented. Bowie's songs are so meaningful and his voice is one of a kind in the Hong Kong entertainment industry.

    Yello...

Just checked out the PC website...they have finally updated their site with application forms! But I'm sending mine to the HK national office so it won't directly affect me...I'm getting nervous that I can't get into the UWCs now...it's absolutely nerve wrecking! I just looked at the sites and all of them say that potential students should have achieved first class in at least half of their subjects in the few previous years. That sounds so tough since I obviously don't belong in that group! I really really hope I can get in...sick of HK already...=.= Oh and I finished my application form last night, need to give it to my principal tomorrow with form S.

Anyways, just wanted to get that off my chest.
Need to finish my Chemistry poster and Material research now!

    See ya later,
    Emzyne :)

*edit: I just realized I have not idea what I wrote...so if you don't understand, it's okay. I don't either!
  • Promised pictures....

    So you get pictures!

Anyways....here are the pictures I promised to upload...I didn't take them though...other people at my school did...

    Some relay winners...

Some nice floppin' going on there...

    Wow

    The teachers' race...50m freestyle

    Um...A before and after shot?

Probably saying...I'm going to beat you!

Mr. Red and Mr. Blue :)

Teachers sitting on the opposite side of the pool chatting...
Notice the three teachers on the left (of the first picture)are my faves.

Wonder who he's taking a picture of of....

    Hm...what is he looking at...seriously I'm curious!

    House game....swim 20 meters to get10 pts

    Hum....

Maybe drinking the water will help!

    Pick me! Pick me!

    Mommy, I forgot my goggles!

    Fighting for air

    Ahhhleluuuuyahhhh

She looks a lil lost to me...

    Help!

    Bobbing yellow head

    Fighting for a breath

    Stunned in the water?

Must be something amazing they saw...

    Looking at something spectacular maybe?

    *gasps*

    Help! I forgot my goggles!

    Oh!

This one is just plain funny

    She looks in pain

I like this one...looks so powerful except she's from our opposing house

I don't get why he looks like that when he's doing the backstroke

    She looks scared!

    Arms...

Just love how the water splashes in this one

Final pictures come with a story!

Yes, it's the teachers' 50 meter freestyle!

    Here's what happened...

Getting ready, waiting for the signal

    Mr. B waiting anxiously

    *gasps* false start!

swimming nevertheless? No, they didn't know! Only one person knew...and he's...
the guy still on the platform
and Mr. False Start there looking very wet

Mr. False Start: Aha! I KNEW IT!

Mr. Dry there telling Mr. Blue Cap....Haha! In your face! I'm as dry as a bone and you swam the whole way!

    Race begins again!

Mr. B swimming for his life!

Mr. False Start gasping for air

Mr. Blue Cap crawling for victory...but we can see Mr. FS is a finger ahead.

Regarding the missing competitor....he's one of the two idiots who swam the whole way. I remember hearing the emcee (who couldn't stop laughing) telling them to go back but they were too concentrated in their swimming...

    So who won?

We see that Mr. Blue Cap has chosen to put on a green Olympics-on-the-back trucker cap instead

ooooo....who's he? I just realized I never mentioned him throughout this blog....

    Ta da!
    1st=Mr. Wu
2nd=Mr. B (best PE teacher ever!)
    3rd= Mr. Green-Trucker-Cap and IJu!

    Anyways....
    Hope you enjoyed this entry...nitez
    Emz....

PS, just realized how bad the qualities of the pics are but no worries, they're in the photo album...so you can have a better look
Oh, and A picture of the overall winners

Hey there! haha... Yes , I may be back once in awhile when I'm free. I'm a good friend of Ms. Chan (music teacher). It seems like you've got a great school with good teachers and nice classmates.

I was reading your blog... haha staying up to do your homework !!! That was my issue when I was in school, I would procrastinate and then have to pull all-nighters to finish my assignments... So, tell me about Hong Kong identity again....
