  • Vampire Miscreants make their return.

It's been a while since I last wrote online, but the past few weeks have been a roller coaster. Fun, thrilling, scary, surprising and full of adrenalin. Went to New York to visit a friend and attend some acting classes, was a great way to boost the near end of 2009. Great food, great vibes, great moments. Came back and went straight into rehearsals for two new shows- FLY Entertainment's 10th Anniversary Event and ACTION Theatre's horror comedy 'Vampire Monologues' directed by award winning director Samantha Scott Black-Hall. Working on comedy is just a ball. What a crazy script, with even crazier people around you, I don't know how we manage to survive through and finish rehearsing the scenes without cracking up.

Hosted the 'Tupperware Iconic Collection' at the Red Dot Design Museum, with an exclusive Fashion Show to showcase the products used in an eclectic innovative way. I was extremely impressed at local designer NICHOLAS, he was commissioned to design these couture pieces made out of parts of Tupperware products, see for yourself....

Me in the middle, hidden behind the huge outfits- the dresses were made from covers of containers!

All work and some play, managed to catch a basketball game between Singapore Slingers and Philippines Patriots over the weekend. Well for these guys it's Work=Play. Exciting game, with a  very close fight of Singapore winning by 6 points! Woo! And also managed to catch up with some other actors, like Bobby Tonelli, Joanne Peh and of course Irene Ang.

Us and that's 21 yr old star player Marcus Ng, these boys have height.

Bounce with me, bounce with me. In the words of Jay-Z.

  • The Cover and That Helmet.

    Thursday, Aug 13, 2009 3:29PM / Standard Entry

    Hey Gorgeous AnD people!

Here is the August issue of T3 Magazine in Singapore. Did the cover shoot with the new HTC magic phone in me hand, and it was good fun, especially prancing around those 2,7887 inch shoes that were tad too big for me! More pics in my shoots album!

Behind the scenes with our very own 'Lady Gaga'!

Also, Make-A-Wish Foundation and Starwars.sg approached a few actors and artists to design a Clone Trooper Helmet as a charity initiative for kids. I was privilidged to be asked to be part of this and so the helmets will be auctioned off and all proceeds given to the charity organization! Feels good to get back into arts and crafts (after so long) and do something worthwhile at it. Here is a preview of what I did .... Maybe I should have paid more attention in art class huh?

    AFTER (4 hrs)

What do you think of the Star Wars Clone Trooper being a Native American? Hopefully it churns out a good number of dollars!!!

  • A New Memory.

    Sunday, Jun 14, 2009 3:11AM / Standard Entry

It been quite an interesting past few weeks as I've had the privilege of working with some very talented cast and crew. If you've seen the pictures in the album, this is a bit of the story in words behind the visuals.

Shot a few weeks in Singapore, Pulau Ubin (very small island off Singapore that people only usually go to cycle, camp and even then, few and far between!) and Vietnam, Hoi An. A TV series called DEJA VU now in it's 2nd season, it was a mix of Singapore, French and Canadian actors/crew. I play the girlfriend of the lead's ex boyfriend, so when we both meet in this season, there's quite a show down, with tension building scenes (think a mix of The OC and Lost), but we eventually find ourselves depending on each other when we get lost in the jungles of Vietnam! An example of the 'warfare' scenario below!

    The 'Lost' shot.

I also got to learn how to steer a boat and ride it through the rivers of the jungle, which was very exciting, scary and gave me another option for a day job.... or not!

    back in the city shooting

They managed to sell the first season to some places in Mauritius, and some other places in Asia but if you happen to come across the channel France 2 on cable, or will be in Paris September, you'll be able to catch it.

Till the next post, hope everyone's been feeling well and inspired as we reach the middle of 2009.... already!

Talking Top on my list - Elizabeth Tan

Fly Entertainment artiste Elizabeth Tan is a vintage girl at heart - with a consistent fashion style that varies from "hippie chic to modern vintage."

She explains, "I'm inspired by Milla Jovovich for her quirkiness, Natalie Portman for her sophisticated simplicity and Mischa Barton for her feminine grunge aspect!" Other than events and launches, where Elizabeth dresses up to the nines for, she's a rather fuss-free dresser in her private life. To her, the right accessories, shoes and statement bag can determine and outfit. Here she shares with us some of her favourites:

Chiffon camisole set, $65, from La Senza- "La Senza has a wide selection of lingerie that suits any mood you are in. I love being sexy and comfortable at the same time!"

DiorSnow Whitening Moisture Crème, $95- "One of the best.........."
