Autumn Bliss Cake Tower

Thanksgiving is right around the corner.Pumpkin pies, turkey, cranberry sauce, Mash Potatoes, pumpkin pie Oops I said that.Oh yes, and how could I forget, Giving Thanks:)Thanksgiving is my second favourite special occasion of the year. First being Christmas.I love thanksgiving not only because of pumpkin pie.Simply because its a day shared with friends and family without all the holiday fuss.Here is an autumn/thanksgiving themed cake we made for a wedding.We decorated red velvet mini cakes and topper cake with gum paste roses.
We also added some cranberry fillers to give it that autumn theme finish.We then highlighted and piped line details on the cake with royal icing.
And then did the same with the mini cakes.
If you recognize the tower, its because we used the same tower as our classic 4 tier stackable cupcake tower.We finished it off with matching ribbon and Voila, it looks completely different.Handy huh, love that its interchangeable.Oh btw, the tower has 24 mini cakes and the topper cake is 8" x 5"' high.

Here's a Carebear themed cake we made for Tinkerbelle's brand new family of Dogs. Yup you heard right. Tinkerbelle is a gorgeous dog who we've been doing cakes for since she was 1 years old. And now, Tinkerbelle has her very own 3 pups.We made a Carebear rainbow themed cake to celebrate their very first birthday!!!!

Christmas in Deelite!!!!

Yes, its that time of the year again and we are BANANAZ!!!! over the MOON that Christmas is here. For those of you who were here today, you probably didn't see much of the new goodies as they were all packed up still. We were swimming through boxes today. But we finally finished unpacking everything at the end of the day. YIPPPPEEEEEE.

Donuts, Cupcakes and Gumpaste Flowers!

I know I know, its been one loooooooooooooong week since my last update. We've had an exciting past week. We just finished the LKF carnival fair last night at 10pm. If you didn't get a chance stop by our booth over the weekend, here is a shot of our donuts which we launched during the fair. We had 3 donut flavors: classic rainbow sprinkles, Toffee Crunch and Cookies and Cream. Don't chya just luv how the donut glaze is ooozing out of the donuts:) They were a real hit as soon as we put them on display, serious yum in the tum.
And of course our cupcakes were a great hit too!
We also had a Flower Carnival week too. We had a Glorious week filled with flowers flowers and MORE FLOWERS:)
Here is a lavender rose inspired wedding cake we made for a wedding on Saturday.
All the Lavender roses are made from Gumpaste.
We then highlighted each tier with polka dots and matching lavender trimming

And I couldn't wait to share some shots from our We LUV Gumpaste Flowers Class. They graduated this past week and it was an amazing class. I taught the class how to make oodles and oodles of flowers.

Mr. Sharky Cake

We made a really cool Spooky Shark cake jumping outta the ocean.
And here's how our cake came to life.
First we carved, sculpted and covered our cake with buttercream.
Having doubts this will look like a scary shark jumping outta the ocean....:) keep scrolling
We then covered our shark with a think layer of fondant colored in light silver gray.
Jaws is slowy coming to life. I know he looks so harmless right now....BUT keep reading:)
Here he is after his first make over. I brushed his skin with a shiny gloss finish.
And then...DUN NAHHHHHHH can we say JAWS!!!!! Wait don't swim away yet, Mr. Sharky doesn't want to bite you, he's hungry for some fish.
Tah Daaaaaa!!!!, he wanted fish and we gave him yummo fish.
A yummo and Purdy fish!
Purdy fish now in Jaws Mouth.
Mr. Sharky likes Purdy fish, Yum yum
And finally, we added the finishing touches of Mr. Sharky jumping out of the ocean.
I bet chya can't get enough of Mr. Sharky Huh. Well us too, so we made a cool Video.
