I thought this might be interesting to put out there. I am enjoying the writing and learning about how my fellow members and my new friends here feel about so many things... Having been here for a fairly short period of time, I am learning every day. How do I write and share the details about my life overall or with day to day things? For this (my favorite site because of the creative souls out there), it is a toss up between writing a private or putting it out there for all to share. I guess it depends on my comfort level for more personal things or just having some things more in common with one friend or another where there may be more of a connection overall. I am grateful for my new friends and find great pleasure in having a laugh about an experience. It all brightens up my day. Is this getting too philosophical? hehe. I love to laugh and find that exhilaration of life with new friends just as much as the short list of my long term friends which I am so grateful to have. So keep on writing folks and so will I.
May we all find joy in our life everyday!

Today is February 3, 2008 and I can't believe how fast 2008 is going by. Today, I am watching the SuperBowl, the first time I have seen it since I watched it with my mom. She was the biggest fan of the 49rs. If she were here today, seeing the tribute to Bill Walsh with Steve Young and Jerry Rice (her favorite player and person), she would think she was in heaven. And now she really has that angle of view! So this blog is dedicated to her memory and remembering her joys of life....Football, The Kentucky Derby, All My Children and Erica, her writing a round robin that was going on for 40 years, going to get breakfast together at Stickney's and her only family here, me. I will ever be thankful for her love and caring and joy we brought each other as family and friends. My writing can't do hers justice. But, she would find it hard to believe that this blog about her is being written with a laptop that was not her forte for writing. She could never could feel comfortable about using it---"it will beak if I try". The smith-corona typewriters are sitting there waiting for her to return. Alas, only I will be visiting them, her writings and wishing she was still here so I could be listening to the hours of clicks that those metallic keys sounded as they hit the paper. Even the neighbors walking by the house knew she was up and active and creating when that sound carried out to the street at all times of the day. So keep on typing mom........I'll keep my ears open.
